Good bye queen Meya

I started to think that maybe she would live forever. But on Monday morning it was time for Emma to say her final good bye to Meya (SEVCH RLDN RLDF RLDA Kadamo Penny Lane). After a couple of days being ill and not really showing signs of improvment it was time to let her go. Meya was born in my Beatles-litter (Moa x Wilson) in 2010 and has since then had a special place in my heart. Meya was 15 years and 8 months old, so was only four months away from her 16th Birthday. To achieve this very old age is not at all common in a ridgeback. Both Meya's parents became very old too but I think the love and care her owner Emma gave her also played a big part.
