I have updated the Puppy Blog with the first individual head and ridge photos of our 10 darlings! They are all doing well, strong, full of energy and eating well. Enya is an amazing mum, doing everything right.
I am so happy and still walking on clouds over this fantastic litter! Or perhaps is feels like clouds in my head because of my awful cold?! Oh well, still happy! ;-)

Yesterday afternoon Enya thought it was time to let the puppies see the world! Ten beautiful puppies was born last night and during the night, 7 males and 3 females.
I am so happy to say that so far they ALL look correct! Great ridges on everyone, no kinked tails, no excess white or any other faults.
I haven't checked them for DS yet, will do it as soon as we have rested some more. I ended up with a bad cold so I have very little energy left at the moment.
But of course I have taken the time to update the Puppy Blogpuppy with the first pictures of the puppies and a little  story from the delivery. Enjoy!

I have recently recieved some new photos of our Czech prince Elvis (Kadamo It's Now or Never) who is a part of kennel Anunnaki
He is such a handsome young boy and he resembles his sister Mira who I have kept at home, so much! Truly a masculine and feminine version of the same dog! And I see a lot of his mother Moa in him too!
Thank you Sárka for the lovely photos! I always love getting photos from you because they are always great quality!

This passed weekend we went to the two day shows in Tvååker. First day it was the International show judged by Graham Hill, GB. I showed Mira and she finished as 2nd Best Bitchpuppy with a critique that was better than I expected.I felt like she wasn't the judge type, but here is his critique:
"A very nicely proportion and balanced youngster, having an athletic look. Very pleasing in head, with good angulated front.  Find rear feet are more knuckled then I would like but front is good, but needs to become parallell. Moving free in side gait, a little loose in back."

After this the official classes started and Ewa showed "Loke" BISS-13 Kadamo Johnny Walker and he got VG-4...
After that I showed "Charlie" SEUCH SEVCH Kadamo Don't Mess with Texas for the first time in Championclass, where he recieved Excellent but no placement.
Charlie's critique:
"Stroong powerful male, side profile looks to have excellent construction. He is strong and powerful in the neck with firm substance in body. Good angulatied front and rear. Moved with a free and easy action but tended to be wide and free."

Then I also showed Moa and she did well finishing as 3rd Best Championbitch and later as 4th Best Bitch.
Moa's critique:
"Female of good size with  powerful atheltic apperance. She has a pleasing attractive profile, body of good lenght and angulation behind. Tending to look upright in front. Would prefer more muscle condition to complete the picture but moved well with purpose."

In Championclass we also had "Tilly" SEUCH FINCH SEVCH Kadamo Thinking of Tilley who did a wonderful job with her owner Jaana, winning Best Championbitch, Best Bitch and in the end BEST OF BREED! This gave her her third CACIB, no she only needs one more in one more country to become CIB!
In the finals of Group 4/6 she was picked out in Top 6 by judge Carl-Gunnar Stafberg, but then thanked off just outside placement.

Second day in Tvååker and the National Show judged by Mr Jan Coppens, NL. Mira again first out in puppyclass and today she was rewarded Best Bitchpuppy and Best of Breed!
Her critique:
"7 months. Excellent breedtype. Very well developed for age. Very feminine. Excellent body proportions. Nice coat, colour, ridge.Good mover for age. Very Promising."

After her I showed Loke in Intermediateclass. He recieved Excellent and was placed as 2nd with CQ. His critique:
"17 months. Maximum size. Masculine, lightwheaten dog. Desired hight-lenght. Nice head and neck. Very good topline, croup. Enough angulation in front, very good in rear. Strong bone, nice feet, nice ridge. Excellent mover."

I also showed Charlie again this day and he recieved Excellent but no placement. Today the B-litters daddy "Wilson" MultiCh Roseridge Red Rastaban (daddy of Enya who is having Kadamo's F-litter in 2 weeks) became Best Male and Best of Breed! Congrats Johanna!
Moa was also shown in Championclass where she placed nicely as 2nd, Tilly didn't have a head that this judge liked so she only got VG.
In the afternoon Johanna and I went back for the finals. Mira got to compete against 50 (!!!) other puppies for a placement in BIS, and the judge Mr Arne Foss, NO, picked her for his Top 10, but then we were thanked off.
Wilson competed in Group 4/6 and the judge Mr Mats Jonsson, SWE, picked him for his Top 6 but after that no placement. So pretty pleased after all!

Thank you all for two wonderful days! Now I will have a little break from she shows waiting for Enya's puppies and caring for them. We will see for how long I will be able to stay away!

Today my dear dear princess Moa (CIB NORDUCH EECH SEVCH RLDN RLDF Hamnuddens Fischer CV) turns 7 years old! Except for a few more grey hairs in your face you look just as gorgeous as always!
For each year that has gone by I just love you more and more! You keep on showing me new strengths and qualities that makes me more impressed by you each day. You are the sweetest dog anyone could have asked for, and I am so unbelievable proud to have you as my foundation bitch at the kennel.
You are a mother of 25 gorgeous dogs, and in just two weeks you are also becoming a grandmother to your daughter Enya's(SEVCH Kadamo Ain't She Sweet) first puppies (Kadamo F-litter)! I think you have shared a lot of your best qualities to your kids and I am happy to see them move on into the next generation of Kadamo dogs!
Love you to the moon and back Moa!

Full report from our weekend:
Early Friday morning me and my dogs was packed in the car and started our drive towards Skåne. After a little hickup where I had to turn around and drive back home again to get my backpack that I forgot... we were on our way.
Seven hours later we arrived in Fjälkinge at my friend Patricia's house (Kennel Zipperbacks). There I held a 2 hour long showtraining for 13 Ridgebacks and their owners. Very nice dogs and people!
After this I drove another hour to the showground at Backagården in Höör. I was sharing a cabin with 6 of my puppybyers and their dogs, Loke, Dante, Indra and Ebba.
We had a nice evening with some special made Kadamo Breezer drinks (THANK YOU Tomas and Jonny), some boardgames and snacks!
The show didn't start until 11 am the next day so we had no rush to go to bed! That's a first when you are showing the next day!

Saturday morning arrived and first to enter the ring was me and Mira in Puppyclass bitches 6-9 months. My sweet little princess won her class (5 bitches) and got to compete against the winner of 4-6 months bitches. Mira won and became Best Bitch and got to compete for Best of Breed and BISS which she also won, out of 14 puppies! Mira's second BPISS this summer! That girl has really had a rocking start of her showcareer!

Judge Mr Richard van Aken, SA thought this of her:
"Excellent bitch. Well-balanced female. Good clean neck, nice angulations in toes. Posternum nice. Good topline, excellent angulation in hindquarters. Well presented. Best Puppy!"

After her I got to show Kadamo Johnny Walker "Loke" in intermediateclass. Last time I showed him was in March, since then we have been "hiding" him in the closet giving him some time to develop and fill out his body. And he really has during these passed months.
In this class his brother SEJW-12 Kadamo Rob Roy "Dexter" was also shown and both brothers did well and gained Excellent, something we later on would know was really good! Less than half of the dogs shown this weekend got Excellent, the rest Very Good.
Loke ended up winning the class with the only CQ handed out, and Dexter finished nicely 4th.

I kept busy during the day waiting for the Best Male finals by showing a Wilson son from kennel Ghali in openclass. He was unfortunately one of the dogs who got Very Good today. In championclass I had the priviligue to show a brother to my upcoming F-litters daddy Leo. I showed NUCH Kangelani's Gentle Teo Son of Clay to a nice 2nd place in Championclass. Only classwinners this day was rewarded Champion Quality...
So, finally time for Best Male! And I was more than happy to show handsome Loke again, I just love running in a large ring with that boy! He sure can move!
And move we did! Lots of running and finally, there we were, standing as number 1! I almost left the ring because I thought the judge thanked us off... But he sure did not!
Handsome Loke, our 16 months old darling boy Best Male at BISS-13 with his first CAC!!! Happy?! Me?! I was over the moon! Not only being his breeder, standing there as handler and co-owner made it really special!

Loke's critque:
"Dog of substance. Slightly troathy in the neck. Excellent topline, strong in bone. Excellent drive from back. Well presented. BISS-13"

We had a wonderful evening at the showground with great food arranged by the Ridgeback Club, thank you for that! After an amazing day we went to bed, happy, excited and tired with a lot of expectations on the second day!
Sunday morning and we started off with petclass. Ridgebacks with some kind of fault was shown and judged by Anneli Jönsson.
In maleclass we had Kadamo Jack Daniels "Zimba" with his owner Amanda for the very first time in the ring together. They did a wonderful job and ended up 3rd Best Petmale! Congrats!
In bitchclass his sister Kadamo Bloody Mary "Ebba" and her owner Isabel showed off and also did a great job! So proud of you! Ebba finished as 4th Best Petbitch! Great job and congratulations!

Today I helped show SEVCH Adorea's Ridged Chewbecca "Becca" for my friend Pernilla in Intermediateclass. We did a pretty decent job together and ended up with Excellent and winning the class with CQ!
After this I had a break before it was time for me and Moa to enter the Championclass. Sweet Moa did a good job and recieved Excellent and finished as 2nd Best Championbitch with CQ! Sooo happy about this!
So time for Best Bitch and I was so excited when Moa and I was picked out in top 10 for placement! She finished nicely as 7th Best Bitch! Her second time being placed (and shown) at BISS!

Moa's critique:
"Red wheaten. Reasonable angulation front, good in back. Could improve on topline. Moves well with good drive from the back."

I am soooo proud of her, being 7 years old in one week, being a mother of three beautiful litters, still being able to win and beat lovely dogs, AND now also proven herself as a great broodbitch. With offsprings winning several BISS, BIS and BOB placements as puppies and now also as adults! Soooo proud!!!

After a short breather (for me!) and water me and Loke was ready to show off and try to win that desirable BISS-13 title! When I ran into the ring I had goosebumps on my arms, such an amazing feeling! The joy I felt when the judge held out his hand towards me as the winner with Loke! A moment I will treassure for a very very long time!
I have only cried in the showring once before, and that was when Moa (Loke's mother) became Champion. But this moment, was truly worth the second public showring cry! ;-)

THANK you all for this wonderful weekend, your company, your support, your congratulations and your shared joy! No names mentioned, no one forgotten!
Also a BIG thank you to SRRS Skåne for a well organized show, nice prizes and a great After Show Dinner!

Kadamo's F-litter is now halfbaked! Enya is today on day 37 and has just less than 4 weeks left to go. She is doing very well and her behaviour has started to change. She doesn't really want to go for any long walks, everytime she gets a dogbones she digs a hole in the garden to save it for later, something that she has never done before!
You can read and see more new photos of Enya in the Pregnancy Diary

My own little princess "Mira" Kadamo Bringin' It Back is just getting bigger and bigger. She recently turned 7 months old, my puppy is soon as big as her mother Moa and older sister Yaya! She weighs around 31 kg and is 63 cm tall.
See some new photos of Mira's siblings from the Elvis-litter in their own photoalbum..
At the moment she has three more shows planned, still in puppyclass. We are going to Höör and the Swedish Ridgeback Speciality Show this weekend, and next weekend we have two days in Tvååker.  After that we are taking a break to attend to Mira's older halfsister "Enya" SEVCH Kadamo Ain't She Sweet who is having her puppies in about 4 weeks!
