All the puppies has now moved to their noéw families and are doing so well. I wish you all the very best and look forward to seeing most of you next Sunday on first puppyclass!
The puppies are now a bit over 7 weeks old and are really enjoying to explore our property. They come along to our chickens, when we feed the goats, alpacas and horses, when we are working outside they are there helping out! They are very brave, sometimes walking off in small groups or one by one checking things out, so not at all depending on us or the big dogs to dare to check out new things or places.

Tonight we are taking a drive to my vetclinic for their healthchecks, vaccination and ID-chip. So a big adventure coming up and on Tuesday the first puppies starts to move!
The puppies are today 7 weeks old and in only one more week they will start to move to their new homes. Time is flying by! Today I got some very much needed assistance from Sara when taking the photos, so this week I can show you headshots and ridge/backshots aswell as stacks. Not sure if I will be able to do one more photoshoot next week before they leave, so for now, enjoy todays pictures below!
The puppies are now 6 weeks old and growing steady. They have been dewormed again and had another photoshoot. Below are the new stacked photos and below them are mixed photos of them outside at 6 weeks of age. Enjoy!
The puppies has now been allowed to come outside for a few days, and they are loving it. The weather has been very nice, lots of sun and in the afternoons also very nice temperatures. So as much as I can I let them spend time outside now, to play, explore, eat, pee, poo and sleep!
It is also so wonderful to see Segra being able to interact more with them, and not only feeding them. She can play now when she has more room, and she also starts do disciplin them when needed. My other two dogs Koya and Colin is also happy to hang out with them more now!

Yesterday the puppies turned 5 weeks old and we had another photoshoot. The stacks went well but now it is to difficult to keep the puppies still, make them lift their ears and look into the camera at the same time as I take their picture... so I gave up!

The puppies are today 4 weeks old and we had another photoshoot for individual pictures. For the very first time they got to try to stand on the table for stacked photos, and they did well for their very first time. Below is their new photos, enjoy!
The puppies has now moved out of their pool and into a small playarea. As they grow this playarea will get bigger and bigger aswell. But most of all I am hoping that spring is now coming for real and that we will have warmer temperatures in a couple of weeks, so the puppies can start to enjoy being outside to play!

Today the puppies are 3 weeks old and for the first time they had a photoshoot outside of their little puppypool. They did so well, acting like real photomodels!
They have all been weighed and dewormed aswell and they also got to taste some solid food for the very first time. Below are todays individual photos. Enjoy!

Later today they will be dewormed and we will have an individual photoshoot of them aswell. The results from that will most likely be online tomorrow! The puppies are now 17 days old and getting more and more gorgeous and wonderful by the minute! Today we changed their puppybox a little so they have a small area to go and pee. Well, they don't go there by themselves much yet but hopefully they will learn soon!
For now Segra is keeping the puppybox clean with a little help from the puppies "stepdad" Colin, who just loves to be with them when he is allowed. See for yourselves in the video below!
The puppies are now 2 weeks old and yesterday we had a little photosession taking new individual photos of them all. I think they have so much more personality now when they have all opened their eyes. They are getting around much more, crawling and sort of walking. But most of the time they still spend sleeping cuddled up to eachother or near mum Segra.
The puppies has now opened their eyes! Such a wonderful time since they are now interacting much more with eachother and are up on all four legs "walking" around. Absolutely gorgeous! Segra is such a great mother, you would never guess this was her first litter. She is so relaxed and takes such great care of her puppies. Wonderful to see them together!
Tomorrow the puppies are 2 weeks old so then it is time for another photosession with individual photos. So stay tuned, more photos are coming!
The puppies are now 9 days old and growing steady. Within the next few days they will start to open their eyes, can't wait for that. That get's them from this adorabe sausagesshape to actual puppies! I am leaving for a wedding this weekend so for a couple of days the puppies and Segra will be well looked after by Segra's owners who is coming to stay here. So you will have to be patient and wait until the beginning of next week for more photos! But until then I give you lots of photos taken today. Enjoy!
The puppies are today 1 week old and we had another photosession. They have all been weighed too and biggest at this point is Mr Black who weighs almost 1 kilo already.

The puppies are already 5 days old and growing nicely. They have all been checked for DS and so far none has been found. Segra is doing wonderful, very good mother at the same time she is getting more relaxed and can leave them a few minutes when they are asleep to be with the other big dogs. Her grandmother, and the puppies great grandmother Moa has today been allowed into the puppyroom and is now sleeping in the dogbed next to Segra. I guess she doesn't not see her as a threat to her little once.

So happy to introduce my 10th litter here at Kadamo! Segra did such a good job yesterday delivering all the puppies without any problems. For the very first time we also got livernoses!

Welcome to the world! Today our gorgeous J-litter was born and mother Segra did an amazing job. She delivered 9 healthy strong puppies and for the very first time at Kadamo, we got three livernosed puppies! Individual photos will come tomorrow, but the short update is that we have 9 puppies, 3 boys and 6 girls. Three has correct ridges, one has multicrowns and five is ridgeless. Now we will rest and tomorrow share more information and photos with you!
We are now in the last week of Segra's pregnancy and we are starting our countdown! Today she is on day 58 and she is doing well. When we are out she doesn't seem bothered at all by her big belly and get's around with lots of energy and a constantly wagging tail. Inside she is resting a lot and you can then see by the look in her eyes that she is tired and sometimes uncomfortable. Now we will just wait and keep our fingers crossed for an easy delivery for her within the next few days!
Today Segra is on day 52 of her pregnancy and I think in about 10 days we will have her puppies here with us! I took her to my vetclinic for an X-ray today to try to count how many puppies she has in her belly, so we are ready when they arrive. I can for sure count to 8 puppies, but I think there might be 9! I have a spine that should have a head... and I can't connect it to the other 8 heads... so let's hope for 9 wonders in there!
Segra is today on day 50 of her pregnancy and has moved in with us, to get prepared for her delivery in about 2 weeks time. She is doing very well but of course you can tell that carry around this big belly is hard work too. So lots of rest, a bit of extra treats and a lot of cuddles is what she can expect from now on! My daughter Ellen assisted me today so I could get some new photos of Segra so you can see for yourself how much bigger her belly has gotten. Since she was mated she has now gained about 6-7 kg!
Next week I plan to take her to the veterinaryclinic where I work to do an X-ray of her belly, and count how many puppies she has hiding in there. So keep your eyes open for more updates!
I got this photo a very relaxed Segra on day 47 of her pregnancy. Normally she never sleeps straight on the hard floor, but now that seemed more comfortable?! On Saturday she is moving in with us to get settled in before it is time for her puppies to be born in about 2 weeks time!
Segra is today on day 39 of her pregnancy and her belly has started to grow! Always so wonderful when it starts to show! It is now less than a month left before the puppies will be here with us, can't wait!
Today Segra is on day 24 of her pregnancy and we did an ultrasound at work, to confirm her pregnancy, and our gutfeeling was right! She has been more tired at home and even though it still doesn't show on her belly I had a feeling we had a perfect date with Khan in Norway.
So very happy to see these tiny little puppies growing in her belly, with strong heartbeats! We saw 5 puppies but it could be more, only time will tell.
I will make an X-ray of her belly when we are closer to delivery date so we know how many to expect during her delivery.
Until then, the loooong and both exciting and anxious wait continues!
As I wrote earlier last week we took our first progesteronetest on Segra on Tuesday, day 11 of her heat. Her level was then 7 nmol/l and we waited two days until Thursday for our second test, day 13 in her heat. Her level was then up to 25 nmol/l so she got dewormed and we planned the last for our trip. In the evening me, my daughter Ellen and Segra started our drive towards Norway and Khan. We stayed the night on the Swedish side of the border in Töckfors before continuing to Geilo in Norway on Friday morning.
In the early afternoon we arrived in our cottage and Segra and Khan got to meet eachother. And they hit if off playing and flirting. During Friday they had three good mating "atempts", but no hanging. So we went to bed hoping for a complete mating the next morning, and we got it!
Within minutes after them being together in the morning we had a proper mating and they were stuck together for about 12-14 minutes, this was on day 15 of her heat.
Concidering Segra progesteronelevel I decided to be saticfied with this one mating and head back home, since waiting for a second mating the next day would most likely be to late in the heat.
So now we are back home, and Segra is back with her family and all we do now is wait. After about three weeks we will do an ultrasound to check if she has any puppies growing in her belly. So until then all we can do is wait and cross our fingers!

Today we took the first progesteronetest on Segra, day 11. She had 7 nmol/l, pretty much what I expected. So we will wait two days and take another test on Thursday on day 13 of the heat, and see what level she has reach up to then. Updates will come!
