We have now enjoyed the last week with our 14 puppies and here are some mixed photos of them 7-7,5 weeks old. It has been such a joy to follow this litter. They are all so social, brave, curious and friendly. Now we wish them the best with their new families and can't wait to follow them in the future!

The puppies turned 7 weeks old yesterday and my husband was kind to help me do a photoshoot outside. I am so pleased with the whole litter, I can't believe they are starting to move in just one week.
I had their weigh in yesterday, claws cut, testicle checked on all males, bites ok and no DS still found. 

Well winter came back... We were lucky with the wonderful and warm weather in March, but now it is typical April weather and the snow is back. The other day we at least got some sun with it so the puppies stayed out playing for a while. But they quickly discovered it was warmer along the house than on the snow so soon gathererd there.
Right now it is colder and we are getting more snow, so more playing indoors than outdoors. The puppies are being fed outside and right after that goes to pee and poo before going inside. They really know what to do now.

The puppies turned 6 weeks old yesterday and they have been weighed, dewormed and had their claws cut again. I did not have so much time for the photoshoot so only took stacked photos of them. They are all so precious!

It has been a busy week! The puppies are more active now so it takes about an hour of playing and running around before they go to sleep, and then after an hour they are awake again!
They do sleep more than that during the day of course, but they do keep as busy!
The weather has been colder but still a lot of sunshine, so they do get to come outside about three times a day to get used to peeing and pooing outdoors, to play and then they are allowed back inside. Our mornings when the puppies are running around the whole house and the kids are getting ready for school is a circus!

New photoshoot, weigh in, deworming and claws to be cut this weekend. So more updates after that!

The puppies are 5 weeks old and their kennelnames has been registered at SKK, with the theme Oasis, so all names are Oasis songs. 
We have been cutting claws, had a weigh in and new photoshoot. Tiya has the past day not nursed them much so it is obvious she is feeling pretty done with that. So I am now feeding them four times a day and she will eventually stop nursing them completely. The positive thing with her not being a walking milkbar is that she can interact and play with them more, and they don't just try to eat on her! It has been a really nice week with sunshine and nice weather, unfortunately soon the temperatures are going back to colder again. So we will see how much time we can spend outside, I am guessing it will be more indoor time again.

We have really taken advantage of the good weather this week and the puppies got to spend alot of time outside. They have explored a small part of our garden, met some of our cats, eaten their lunch outside and learning to do number one and two outside...
Our kids has been outside aswell playing making the puppies more used to all the noise and comotion that comes with that!
We have also had some visitors which we have all enjoyed. More to come to meet these guys during the weekend!

Today I decided to let the puppies outside for a little while. The sun was out and temperature pretty nice, so they got to come out to explore and eat their lunch outdoors.
The weather is supposed to get colder again by the weekend so I felt like I had to use the opportunity since I don't know how next week will be.

Today the puppies are 4 weeks old and yesterday I did our very first stacked attempt. They did so well and was very relaxed on the table. I think they all look wonderful! 
Today all got weighed and dewormed. I have also started feeding them puppyfood three times a day to give Tiya more breaks in her feeding. 
I can't wait until the get a bit bigger and we can take them outside to enjoy the sunshine. But they will have to wait another week or two for that.

The puppies are now 3,5 weeks old and they have moved out of their pool and into their pown room. More space to move around in and hopefully they will soon learn to move away from the dogbeds to do number one and two... At the moment I am cleaning a lot of blankets! 
All the puppies are doing well and they are now being fed twice a day by me with wet puppyfood mixed with egg. 
Tiya is still nursing them even though it it starting to be very crowded at the milkbar. Below are lots of photos of them from the past couple of days. Enjoy!

The puppies are now 3 weeks old. My big scale has gone missing so I have not been able to weigh them during the weekend. They are too big for the scale I have used up until now so tomorrow I will have another go at searching the house and hopefully find the scale.

The puppies are 19 days old today and got to try some "solid" food for the very first time. They very much enjoyed it! I usually start with letting them have a taste once a day first, then twice a day. In the beginning I always feed them one by one to make sure they all get their portion and is not pushed away by their siblings. When they all got the hang of it they will start to eat all together from big special puppybowls. 
Tiya is now more relaxed and leaves the puppies more when they are sleeping. Now she comes and spends more time with us, sleeping on the couch or begging for food in the kitchen. She sleeps every night next the them still though. This past night was my first night since they were born not sleeping on a mattress on the floor next to the puppypool. I sleep in the room next door, and if it continue to go well I can soon go back to sleeping in my own bed! Look forward to that!
On Saturday the puppies are 3 weeks old but I will be away during the day so new photoshoot will be on Sunday instead. I hope you can wait the extra day!

The puppies are 17 days old and I am now home full time from work to look after them. Tiya is still an amazing mother and does all the hard work. The washing machine is working hard though because now they are peeing everywhere... It will take some time before they will be able to do it away from where they are sleeping...

The puppies became two weeks old yesterday and they have all opened their eyes. They got their claws cut earlier this week, that was a lot of claws! 
They are all growing gaining weight and getting stronger. They are now up on all four legs trying to walk instead of crawling around. They are absolutely adorable!

The puppies are 11 days old today and yesterday I took a lot of pictures of them. Most of the photos are still when they are sleeping... They are getting up on all four legs now trying to move around, but not so steady still so all photos of them awake and walking are pretty much shaky. They are now starting to open their eyes and I love that, finally someone is looking back at you! 
They are gaining weight steadily and even though some are bigger and some are smaller they are all strong and chubby. Very happy that I never had to step in and give extra feeding, Tiya has produced enough milk for them all. I just help out making sure the smaller once are not pushed away at feeding time. 
Still they feed very often so most of the time some puppies are sleeping so not often that all are awake trying to feed at the same time. That will be harder when they get bigger and more awake at the same time. But by then I will start to feed them puppyfood so I think they will be all fine and feel full. 

The puppies are one week old today and we had a small photoshoot with new heatpictures of each of them. They are all gaining weight and so far I have not had to help feeding them. The smaller once I help and make sure that they get a good udder and not being pushed away. 
Tiya is eating a lot, takes a lot of energy to feed this gang! She is doing very well, coming with us on shorter walks and started to play with the other dogs again.

The puppies are doing very well and all gaining weight. Some already over 800 g and some a little bit behind. All are eating, sleeping and feeling strong. Tiya is also doing very well, a natural talent at motherhood, very comfortable and taking great care of her puppies.

Here is the first introduction to our lovely bunch. Individual head and ridgeshots of each and everyone taken yesterday, 1 day old. Absolutely irresistable!

Our precious O-litter is doing very well. Today they are 2 days old and all gaining weight, eating, sleeping and talking. Tiya is a wonderful mother, just as I thought she would. So careful when laying down nex to them, cleaning them, feeding them and just resting with them,
During her delivery 6 puppies came out without their placenta. This is pretty common, that they umbilical cord breaks when the puppy is coming out. It is important to keep track on these placentas, and make sure they come out eventually to not risk infection. 
So very glad that I have now counted for all six, that has come out during the first 36 hrs.

Yesterday our beloved puppies was born! It all started on Friday when Tiya was less interested in her food. She was digging with her blankets and a bit restless on and off during the afternoon and the whole night. Not until Saturday morning, February 19th she started having some contractions around 9.46 am. And then it began and went as follows:

So to sum up, we had 15 puppies, 14 still with us. 9 males (1 ridgeless and 1 singlecrown, 7 correct), 6 females (1 ridgeless, 1 singlecrown, 1 short ridge and 3 correct). 
Tiya was absolutely amazing. The delivery was pretty easy and despite a large litter she never felt exhausted. They all had nice birthweights, expect the little stillborn boy who was smaller, probably something that was not right with him and that is why he passed before entering this world. 
Tiya is being an excellent mum as I was expecting. She is keeping an eye on them all, cleaning them and nursing them. So far all puppies seem healthy and strong. I have not done a DS check yet (only on the stillborn boy who was clear). Will do some individual photos and weights later today so more updated will follow, but maybe not today!

Now it is getting close! Tiya is today on day 60 counting from the first mating. We went for a shorter walk in the woods and she seems just fine. She doesn't look to uncomfortable when we are outside. She trotts along with pretty effortless steps but doesn't set of running when the other dogs do. She nows her limitations! 
She has been doing well indoors aswell and eating with good apetite. She has gained about 12 kg during the pregnancy. 
This evening she has been a bit more uncomfortable. It is hard for her to find a good way to sleep, either the puppies are making it uncomfortable on her belly or they are pressing on her lungs. So she is a bit restless. Perhaps things will happen soon and she will not wait until the weekend? Keep your fingers crossed for her!

Tiya is today on day 56 of her pregnancy which means just one more week to go. Dogs are pregnant 63 days, give and take +/-3 days. I am counting from the first mating, but Tiya and Maddox mated a few days in a row so not sure which day is the true day 1. So we are all prepared from the end of this week and during the weekend. She will show me when they are ready to come out.
We took all the dogs and the kids for a walk in the woods today instead of just on the road. She is suprisingly energetic and runs and play and does not show then how far along she is. She is a strong girl this one! 
Our new and bigger puppypool arrived the other day (the first one felt a little bit too small for a large litter so I ordered a bigger one). She has approved it! Digging around, resting with me in it aswell as gone there to sleep on her own. 
I have also digged out all the colors of puppycollars I could find, so hopefully we are ready for all the puppies she is hiding in that large belly. 
It is so wonderful to feel them move in there. When Tiya is resting next to me I keep my hand on her belly and I can feel them moving. Love that everytime I have a litter of puppies! 
So, countdown has started, keep your fingers crossed for her and a safe delivery!

Every day we walk the dogs in the woods and Tiya still has no problems to come along. She stays more on the path instead of running her laps but other than that still lots of energy and easy steps.
She does not seem to bothered yet by her big belly. She doesn't have any problems sleeping or getting comfortable and I hope she will continue to feel well right up to delivery. But I am guessing next week will be harder for her once her belly has grown even more.
The puppies are active inside her belly and in the evening I can sit with my hand on her belly and feel them moving and kicking. Just love that!
So, one and a half week left. It is getting close!

Today I visited my workplace at the vetclinic with Tiya, and did X-rays of her belly. My guess of a large litter was confirmed! It is not that easy to really see them all clearly, because they are so many they are on top of eachother and everywhere. But I would say that I think I can see 14-16 puppies! I have marked 15 heads  that I think are puppyheads on two different X-rays.
I had one litter of 15 puppies once before, but I think I was only sure of 12 on that X-ray, so they can always be hiding!
In less than two weeks we will know for sure!

Only two more weeks to go! Tiya is today on day 49 and we took her out in the sunshine for some new photos of her big belly. She is doing very well still, running around during our walks pretty much as usual, good apetite again and resting indoors.
Next week I will take her to my work for an X-ray to try to count the numbers of puppies she has in her belly, so we are ready for what to come during the delivery.

Tiya is today on day 42 of her pregnancy. She is finally eating better again and doing very well. Her belly keeps on growing and I think she is already pretty big, since she has three more weeks to go! She will be huge by the end of this pregnancy poor thing. Below are todays belly compared to before pregnancy and compared to last week. 
She has already gained just over 3 kg. 

Today Tiya is on day 36 of her pregnancy. Her belly is growing steady and she is still full of energy and enjoyes her walks and playtimes in the woods. She is still not to keen on eating, which I am not used to from previous litters. My bitches usually just show those signs for a few days and then back to eating as normal. Not sure if this means anything? I just know from my own two pregnancys that I felt worse when I carried twins than when I had one. So wondering if she is carrying a big litter? In four weeks we will know for sure! And hopefully with X-ray we will know even sooner.

Tiya is today on day 28 from her first mating with Maddox. She has had some morningsickness for the past few days but still eating, but slow and prefers something else than her normal food if it's being offered. Her tits are bit bigger and her belly is starting to grow and you can see a small change when you compare todays photo with the one taken before the mating. 
Look forward to follow her belly getting bigger, just 5 more weeks to go!

Today I could not wait any longer, so I did an ultrasound on Tiya at work. She is on day 23 from the first mating, which I think was maybe a day or so early. Still very happy that I was able to find these little bubbles and confirm the pregnancy and our future O-litter! 
I did not try to count, they were small and very much on top of eachother so difficult to get them in the same frame and there for hard to know if I counted the same twice. But at least a saw several little black bubbles with a piece of white blob inside (aka puppy).
So now we have another 6 weeks to wait before we got to meet these little once. Puppies expected to be born around February 20th and ready to move to their new families around Easter in April.
