2025

Our Red-litter is now 13 weeks old and they have since a few weeks been with their new families. We have also had the chance to see eachother again for a puppymeeting and in a few weeks our puppyclass will begin.
All the puppies are doing well so far having a wonderful summer with new experiences together with their owners.
Looking forward now to get our puppyclass started!

At the last weekend of July we went to the international dogshow in Ransäter, judge Karl-Erik Johansson.
I started off by showing Maggie for the last time in puppyclass, turning 9 months the day after the show. We had a bad situation before going into the ring, when a big sankt bernard tried to attack her and the owner almos dropped the dog. I managed to get inbetween and get Maggie away but she got really scared. So after that she was really bothered by the invironment and of other dogs so it was not until the show had ended that she was back to being more relaxed again.
Either way she behaved in the ring but was carrying herself with ears back and tail low so did not get great movement from her.
She was rewarded Best Bitch puppy with HP and Best Opposite Sex.
After her I showed Cooper in juniorclass and he won it winning his second J-CACIB! He got to compete in Best Male against the big boys where he finished 4th best male with R-CAC.
I showed Leo in the Championclass where he placed 2nd and later on he was 3rd Best Male with his owner Malin.
Chloe was shown by Malin and they won the juniorclass with one more J-CACIB and was placed Best Opposite Sex in juniorfinals against brother Cooper who was Best of Breed Junior.
Overall a good day with good results for our lovely dogs!

SEVCH NORDVW-23 SEWV-24 Kadamo Always Aiming High ”Django” from the High-litter (Mira x Idde) won the veteranclass at the Nordic Show in Stoxa, Märsta. This gave him his second Nordic Veteran CAC.
Congratulations Nadine and Django!

Kadamo Get the Party Started "Thor" from the Pink-litter (Tiya x Ari) competed in nose work last weekend and did amazing. One of the searches they won with a time of 1,47 seconds!
They got 100 points and 1 SSE. This gave them the 1st place in the total!
Congratulations to Malin and Thor!

On Saturday we went to the International dogshow in Västerås judged by Helin Tenson, Finland.
I only had Cooper with me and this was his third official show. He won the juniorclass with CQ and his first CACIB-J!
I showed Leo after that in championclass which he won and in Best Male his owner Malin showed him to Best Male with CACIB. and BOS. I showed Cooper who finished 3rd Best Male with his first CAC.
Very happy with both boys!
Coopers sister Chloe was also there and she finished 2nd in juniorclass and 4th Best Bitch with R-CAC.
A very nice but hot day around the ring!

This weekend my dear friend Malin took her boy Leo and our co-owned girl Chloe to the two day show in Tvååker. This year I was not able to attend myself, but they kept our flag high!
Day 1 Leo was not placed in Best Male, but "sister" Chloe did better. She won the juniorclass with CACIB-J and finished 3rd Best Bitch.
Day 2 Leo did better! He won the championclass, was Best Male with Nordic CAC and later Best of Breed! Chloe was not bad either! She won the juniorclass again and placed 2nd Best Bitch with CAC and Nordic R-CAC! She was also Best of Breed junior!
What a lovely weekend for our dreamteam! Congratulations Malin!
Not that long ago this team also went to Norway and did great there aswell. Chloe won the juniorclass with Norwegian J-CAC and CACIB-J and was placed as 4th Best Bitch. Leo was 2nd Best Male with R-CACIB.

On Saturday I took Maggie and Cooper and drove to Eskilstuna to attend the Swedish Ridgeback Clubs Speciality Show BISS 2025. Breed entry around 65 and judge Hanka Pankova.
First out was our puppies Kadamo We Are he Champions "Vince" and Kadamo A Kind of Magic "Maggie" from the Queen-litter now 8 months old. Maggie was Best of Breed/BISS puppy and brother Vince Best Opposite Sex.
Then it was time for the official classes and I showed Almach Eta Leonis Evolution "Cooper" in juniorclass, his second time in the class,
Cooper did really well recieving Excellent and won the class with CQ. After him I showed NORDW-24 SEW-23 EUJW-23 NORDJW-23 NORDW-23 SEJW-22 SEW-22 CIB-J SEVCH SEUCH FINCH NOUCH DKUCH RLDN RLDF Kadamo Can Y' See It Now "Leo" in championclass where he finished 2nd with excellent and CQ.
In veteranclass SEVCH NORDVW-23 SEWV-24 Kadamo Always Aiming High "Django" won Best Veteran with CQ.
Time for all the boys to be in best male. Leo was shown now by Emilie Pisano and they finished 2nd Best Male and Cooper placed 7th.
So proud of them all, with very nice critiques! Leo was also shown in some speciality classes and he won Best Head and Best Movements!
I got all these lovely photos from Patrick Backlund.

The puppies are now 6 weeks old and had another photoshoot. The weather wasnot great to we had it indoors, so not very good light.

Very proud of you both! Congratulations!

You will find them in the Puppy Diary.

The R-litter had their first individual photosession today one day old. Visit the Puppy Diary to see their own photos.

We now have our 12 little rubys here with us, born on day 60 of Pennys pregnancy. I have updated the Puppy Diary with a little birthreport and more photos of the puppies.

Today on day 60 Penny gave birth to 12 beautiful puppies, 7 girls and 5 boys. Penny did an amazin job delivering them all in less than 8,5 hours. I was happy to have both Pennys owner Malin and my sister Johanna (owner of Wilson) here for parts of the delivery.
Tomorrow I will write a proper update with more information!

Penny is on day 53 of her pregnancy so today I took her to the vetclinic for an X-ray. We were able to see 12 puppies in there. It is always hard to say absolutely sure but we think that is the number. So now 10 days left before she has gone full time.
Penny is still feeling well, takes off on a few runs every day with the other dogs while we go for walks. Eating four to five times a day and resting a lot.

Today it was time for Kadamo A Kind of Magic "Maggie" second show ever. We had the company of her sister Kadamo Made in Heaven "Athena" aswell. Both girls behaved very well and got 1st and 2nd place both with Honours prize. They both got very nice critique from the judge too.
Maggie was automatically Best of Breed because there was no male puppy to compete against. She was also Best in group and got to compete in the Best in Show final in the afternoon. She behaved like and absolute pro and was picked out in Top 4. She finished very nicely Best in Show 3!
Proud of my little girl!

This weekend Kadamo Get the Party Started "Thor" from the Pink-litter (Tiya x Ari) got 100 points in Nose Work and a Diploma! He got two SSE and finished 3rd on the fourth search and 5th in total. Very well done to Malin and Thor!

Today I met up with Malin (owner of MultiW MultiCH Kadamo Can Y' See It Now "Leo" and co-owner of Atria Eta Leonis Evolution "Chloe") and together we arranged this day for my puppybuyers.
Malin who has been doing this type of training for a long time with her dogs taught about different ways for us to help our dogs be more aware of their legs and body, how to train their balance and strength in many different ways.
All dogs doing very well and I think we all had fun! Thank you Malin for sharing your knowledge with us!
Some mixed photos from our day below!

Today I made a quick stop by Penny to get some new photos of her and her growing belly. She is definetely growing by the minute!
Information about the upcoming litter can be found HERE and some new photos in the Pregnancy & Puppy Diary.

Today we celebrate the first birthday of our two polish imports Almach Eta Leonis Evolution "Cooper" and Atria Eta Leonis Evolution "Chloe".
You are both what love and friendliness is all about. Seeing good in everyone spreading your love around. In that sense not very typical to the breed but who cares! Who does not love a dog who loves you?!
Thank you Magdalena for trusting me and Malin with two of your babies!

Now we are entering the final four weeks of the pregnancy. Now Pennys belly has started to grow and it is almost visibly everyday that she keeps on getting bigger.
She is doing well, she has spend the past week with us and she wants to eat all the time. She know how to use those dark eyes to get that little extra treat.
Some new photos of in the Pregnancy and Puppy Diary.

Penny is staying with us for a few days both to meet upcoming puppybuyers but also to get more and more settled in with us and our pack of dogs until it is time for her to move in to have her puppies here.
Some new photos and updates in the Pregnancy and Puppy Diary

Yesterday SEVCH NW1 Kadamo Sentra "Luna" from the Nissan-litter (Heera x Dexter) got her third Diploma and with that the NW1 title! Congraulations to owner Jakke and Johanna for such a great job with Luna! A very well deserved title!

Last Sunday I got to spend a few hours in the woods with five of the puppies from my Queen-litter (Nada x Scharko).
They got to try bloodtracking for the very first time and they all seemed to enjoy their deerhoof.
The puppies are now 5 months old and developing very nicely.
Thank you everyone who came for a very nice time!

Today Penny is on day 24 since the insemintation and I could not wait any longer to know if it had been successful. So I met with Penny and her owner Malin at the clinic where I used to work and I performed an ultrasound. And I am very happy to say that Penny is pregnant! I saw a nice bunch of puppies in there, I was even able to find some tiny heartbeats!
Now we "only" have 5,5 more weeks to go before we will get to meet them!
Some new photos of Penny in the Pregnancy and Puppy Diary!

This weekend we got to borrow Penny to meet with potential puppybuyers. It is nice for her to spend some time here getting comfortable with our whole pack and us before she will move in to have her puppies.
Penny was inseminated 8 days ago, still way to early to see any signs on her but crossing our fingers it was successful.
The weather got very nice in the afternoon so I took some new photos of her. She is such an easy dog to stack, so balanced. And a head with so much expression.
For more information about the upcoming R-litter check out the Planned litter page or the Pregnancy Diary.
The Pink-litter (Tiya x Ari) are now almost 22 months old and has grown up into such beautiful big dogs. In the beginning of May I will get to see many of them when they will do their behaviour and personality assessment.
But until then I get to enjoy some new photos of many of them and so do you!

Penny has now on day 14 of her heat been inseminated with Wilson semen. She got ready faster than we had expeced but everything went great. We are so excited that everything went well and crossing fingers for puppies in the middle of May.
More info and photos in the Pregnancy Diary.
Are you interested in a puppy from the combination you can find more information here and you can contact me at karin@kadamo.se.

On Sunday we went to Örebro to attend an unofficial show, breed entry 14 and judge was John Sigve Berg.
It was the showdebut for little "Maggie" Kadamo A Kind of Magic from the Queen-litter. She was best bitchpuppy 4-6 months, Best of Breed 4-6 months and BIG-2. She behaved so well in this new environment with all the dogs, people and being in the ring.
We had our juniors "Cooper" Almach Eta Leonis Evolution and "Chloe" Atria Eta Leonis Evolution there aswell. Cooper finished 2nd in juniorclass with HP and Chloe was 3rd in her class with HP.
Both of them behaving very well too.

Kadamo Bringin' it Back
The day I have been trying so hard to avoid arrived today. It was time to let go of my queen Mira and say our final goodbye.
Mira was born into my hands 12 years 3 months and 10 days ago and today she died in them.
Mira has gotten weaker and weaker in her legs and has needed our assistance getting around. Even though her mind was still young her body wasn't anymore.
I wanted her to get to lay in the sun for her last breaths. The forecast did only show clouds but in the morning the clouds shattered and the sun started shining through our windows.
So just as I had wanted, Mira got to rest in her bed with rays of sunshine warming her her last morning.
She was surrounded by the rest of the dogs, me and Christoffer. After she had gotten her sedative she licked away the tears on my face as she has done several times before when I have been sad, this though was the last time and minutes after she fell asleep.
It was the most beautiful moment but also so sad. The last thing she did was trying to comfort me. She passed so peacefully so it all went as well as it could. But the pain does not get easier. She has been with me pretty much every day for over 12 years.
She was the last of my original pack, Dando, Moa, Yaya and Mira. They were the dogs I had before I met Christoffer and before I got my kids. It is hard to acknowledge that they are all gone now. Dogs that has meant so much to me and been with me since I was pretty young, now only left in my memories. I really hope that you are all together again somewhere in the universe, and that I will get to be with you again someday.
Mira was born in my Elvis-litter, the last litter of her mother Moa. Her father was Kimba from Australia who was also the father of my girl Yaya.
She came out of my dreamlitter and she turned out just as perfect as I had hoped. She got the best from both her parents. Mira was the first homebred dog that I kept for myself, which always made her special.
Through the years we have shared so many great moments together. We competed in rallyobedience, obedience, bloodtracking and dogshows. We travelled to different places for this and made memories for life.
You became a mother yourself and had 44 puppies which we kept our beautiful Tiya at home.
You will live on in your kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
My love for you will never fade and I will cherish your memory until the day I die.

On Friday February 28th Penny finally started her heat. It has been a long wait but finally the times is here. When she has gotten further along we will take progesteronetest to find out which day she will be ready for insemination.
Today I got to see her and we took some new photos. I have now also made a Pregnancy & Puppy Diary for the upcoming R-litter.

Today is a big day because the Drinks-litter (Moa x Argos) turns 13 years old! We only have three of them still here with us but they are still going strong <3 Dexter (SEUCH EECH DKUCH FINUCH SEJW-12 Kadamo Rob Roy), Souki (SEVCH Kadamo Heart Stopper) and Nikki (SEVCH Kadamo Eye Opener). I wish you all a wonderful birthday!

I recieved some beautiful new photos of SEVCH Kadamo Sentra "Luna" from the Nissan-litter (Heera x Dexter) . Thank you Jakke for the nice photos!

On Sunday it was time for Coopers first unofficial dogshow in Eskilstuna, judge Eva Jönsson. Cooper was Best Junior, Best Male, Best of Breed Junior, Best of Breed, Best in Group-1, Best in Show Junior-1 and Best in Show-2.
He behaved well and stood completely still when the judge examined him which was what I was worried about. Not that he don't like it, the opposite! Cooper loves people a bit too much so I was afraid he would not be able to stand still and give out to many kisses.
Very happy about Coopers debute, let's hope he continues in this way!

Our handsome young boy "Cooper" Almach Eta Leonis Evolution is now 9 months old and a junior! He is getting big and looking more adult, now weighing around 42,5 kg. He is just a big puppy in heart though and does not realize he is to big to jump on people and give out hugs...
He is the most peoplefriendly ridgeback I have ever had, which is nice but sometimes difficult. Because he will walk or run up to exactly everyone he sees to say hi!
But he is all about love!

Kadamo Get the Party Started "Thor" from the Pink-litter (Tiya x Ari) passed his first scenttest in nosework NW1 and are now ready to start competing. Well done Thor and Malin!

Linda and SEVCH RLDN AGD1 AGDH1 Kadamo Live Life Like Timon "NACHO" from the Lion King-litter (Mira x Colin) competed in agility and their indoor training arena and did so well in the agilityclass 2 that they won the XL group! Congratulations!
