Last few days all puppies together before it is time to move. We had a little bit of sunshine one day but most grey, snow and rain. The puppies each got a new little jacket to wear which they seem to enjoy. They have gotten a lot braver and likes to explore when we are outside. They are very independent and takes off on their own or in small groups. They follow me also when I walk around and have visited our other animals (goats, alpacas, horses and chicken).
The puppies 7 weeks individual photos had to be Christmas inspired! We took the stacked photos inside but the head and ridgephotos outside, a little bit cold but better light.
I am so pleased with how they are looking and I can't wait to see how they will look as adults.
Just one week left together before they start to move.
The puppies goes outside 4-6 times a day to eat their food and of course to do their peing and pooing. They are doing so well with that, of course accidents still happens a lot indoors but most of the pooing now happens outside.
The temperatures has been pretty cold so we are not outside for long each time. but I have managed to get some photos of the puppies for you to enjoy!
Yesterday the puppies turned 6 weeks old and we took new photos. This time on the kitchen island and the puppies thought it was a bit scary so most headshots where of them looking down. So I acctually decided to skip posting them and try again next week. You can see better headpictures among all the mixed photos that I publish.
The puppies has now been weighed again and dewormed for the second time. All of them has correct bites, the boys has their testicles in place and we have one very small hernia. Still no DS found so this was their last check for that.
I try to cut their claws about once a week if they need. It is important that they get used to being held and handled without feeling that they will die ;)
I think the puppies are all developing nicely and showing more small signals and bodylanguage now, Wagging tails, folding their ears and showing calming signals when being submissive against me or the older dogs.
They have now also gotten their pedigree names of course with the theme from Queens music. Lots of great tunes so not easy to pick out just thirteen.

Despite the cold weather the puppies has explored outside a little bit this week. They haven't been down on the ground, only on the stairs. They are brave and curious but I do think they would prefer warmer temperatures and some sunshine!
The puppies turned 5 weeks old todatý and I took new stacks of them. I did not have enough time or someone to help me take headshots so that will have to be next week.
The puppies are doing well and many of the buyers has been here to visit them. They are exploring more and more of our house, met some of the older dogs and seen our cats.
It is harder to get good photos of them awake because they are not still so the pictures get blurry! But that only means they are having fun!

The puppies turned 4 weeks old yesterday and it was time for their first try on the table for stacked photos. I put a tiny table in the puppypen and took the pictures there, so not having to walk around with them to another room if that makes them scared.
They got to taste some yoghurt and all seemed to enjoy it. Most of them did well, some where a bit tense in their bodies but still happy about how they are looking so far.
Will be fun to do next weeks photos and see how they are continuing to develop.

The past week the puppies moved into the puppyroom where they got more space to explore. They are learning to pee on the pads on the floor and not in their bed... ;)
They are investigating all new things they are given, from different shapes, textures and sounds. When they get a little bit bigger they will start to explore other rooms in the house aswell.
They are 4 weeks old today and our puppybyers are now starting to come for visits. So lots of cuddletime coming up ahead! Below are lots of photos of the puppies from the past week.
Sunday the puppies turned 3 weeks old. I did not have time to take their photos until the afternoon and then the weather outside changed and we did not get the best natural light for some of the puppies photos (taken indoors but I have no extra lights/cameraflash). So the photos look a bit different but all the puppies are still cute!
The puppies are 18 days old today and growing steady. I am helping Nada out with feeding them puppymilk so that every puppy has a full belly and stays happy. Since all 13 can't eat at the same time some will not get enough at every feeding so everyone who wants gets some extra puppymilk from me. Some does not like it but many of them do which is great.
Today they also got their first taste of solid food. I mix wet puppyfood with eggyokes, lowfat minced meet and some puppymilk. They all loved it!
In the beginning I feed them once a day with this, a small portion per puppy to get their little tummies used to it. After a few days I go up to twice and day and as they grow I go up to four times a day.
Earlier this week they also had their claws cut for the first time (while they were sleeping so they did no really notice much) aswell was checked for DS (dermoid sinus) again, still clear. It is impossible to check for DS in the tailskin at this early age, no skin to lift so i hope the tails are clear too.
All the puppies are doing very well. They see a little bit more and interact with eachother more now. They get stronger walking on all four and just explore. Soon we will prepare the puppyroom for them where they will move in a little bit.
The puppies turned 2 weeks old today and I had a new photoshoot with them all. I am still taking the pictures in the puppypool just up on the side so they stay relaxed and close to mum Nada. That keeps her relaxed too. Only problem is that they are so relaxed that they fall asleep, and today I wanted them to show their beautiful eyes that they have just opened in the past few days. Some of them still looks tired in the photos but at least here they are looking back at you!
Finally gone through more puppyphotos and here they are to share with you. The puppies has started to open their eyes and are now absolutely adorable, so on my next update here you will see more of that. But until then here are the photos from the last few days.
Lots of new photos of the puppies from day 4-7. They are all doing well and I can't wait for them to start opening their eyes within the next few days.
The puppies are today 1 week old and I took new headshots of them all. They are healthy and strong, all gaining weight. Some bigger than others but all gaining weight to feeling good about them.
Finally gone hrough the first three days photos so here are a big updated with mixed photos of the fabolous 14! They are all doing well, gaining weight and clear at their first check for DS (dermoid sinus).
Nada is getting gradually more and more food to meet the command on milk from her big litter. Feels like I am feeding her all the time. She comes along on some shorter walk and looking really good and happy. But usually when she has done what she needs she remembers she is a mum and we hurry back to the puppies.
The puppies are now 1 day old and today I had their first photoshoot. Not sure they noticed because most of them slept through the whole thing.
Nada is doing a wonderful job. All the puppies has gained weight which is great. That means Nada is producing enough milk. I gradually increase her foodportions to make her produce more milk as the puppies also stimulate her to produce more.

Our precious Queen-litter is now here. Late last night she started to get a bit restless but we still managed to get a few hours sleep. At 03.00 am I took her out and at 03.30 we settled in the puppyroom because her behaviour got more intense with panting and digging.
I saw the first contractions at 03.44 and just a couple of minutes later we welcomed our first puppy! All puppies were born on day 60 of her pregnancy.

Amazing Nada delivered her 14 puppies in just 8 hours 15 minutes which is pretty fast according to me. She is a natural with both the delivery aswell as taking care of her little once. I was a bit surprised when she started pushing out number 14 since I had only seen 13 in the X-ray. Still can't find this extra little one on it but oh well. Happy to have him!
Nada's family was able to join us early in the morning and was here for 9 of the deliverys. Happy that you could share the experience with us!

Nada has only one week left of her pregnancy. She has gained about 8-9 kg since the beginning so she is getting big now. She is doing very well, during our walks she does not even look that bothered by her big belly. She is hungry and wants food or a snack all the time, and sleeps a lot. I have set up in our livingroom with her puppypool and everything I need when the delivery starts. So we are all ready when ever she is.
On Wednesday she is on day 63 but I would not be surprised if the delivery starts a day or two earlier.
Today on day 51 of the pregnancy we did X-rays on Nadas big belly which showed 13 puppies. only 12 days left until she is expected to give birth, but she can also start a few days ahead of that. I am so excited to meet these puppies!
I have started to feel them move around in her belly. Keep your fingers crossed for a safe delivery.
Yesterday I drove to Uppsala and picked up Nada. She will now live with us until they puppies are born and until they are 8 weeks old and moving to their new families.
Today we are on day 49 of her pregnacy so7 weeks are done and only 2 more too go. Nada is doing well. Coming along for walks in the woods and a little bit of playing aswell. She is happy as long as she get's to be where I am. She really wants to be where I am so I got company everywhere I go <3.
Nada was yesterday on day 35 of her pregnancy. That means we are over halftime and have only four weeks left! I got some new photos of her from her mum Katarina. Not really a visible belly yet which is normal for a first time bitch. But her teats have gotten bigger and she is very hungry. Nada has always been interested in food but now even worse ;)
In two weeks she will be moving in with us preparing for the arrival of her puppies.
Today Nada is on day 27 of her pregnancy counting from the first mating. Her owner Jonas took her to the vetclinic close to where they live in Uppsala and we had an ultrasound made. The vet saw atleast 6 puppies but there are probably more.
So exciting for the last days of October when these puppies are expected to be born.
We are now just over a week from first mating. Nada and Scharko was mated two days in a row but I count from first mating, which means 9 days today. We will make an ultrasound around day 25-28 and hopefully we will then get confirmation about pregnancy.
Waiting is always slow...
Today Scharko and his owner arrived from Slovakia and Nada and him got to meet for the first time. They liked eachother straight away playing and flirting and it did not take very long until we had our first mating. They were stuck for about 20 minutes and this was day 12 of her heat.
We will let the dogs meet again tomorrow and see if we get another mating or if they are saticfied.

Nada started her heat on August 16th. On day 8 th of her heat (August 24th) we took the first progesteronetest which showed 4,5 nmol/L. So starting to rise but still under the LH-surge/peak. Two days later (today) on day 10th of her heat we took the second test which now showed 12,5 nmol/L. This means she is not starting her ovulation and within the next couple of days she should be ready for mating.
Her boyfriend to be "Soro" CH Socrates Lakota Löwenschwanz has started his long journey to come and see us in Sweden. Him and his owner Milan are driving and taking the ferry all the way from Slovakia to be able to offer us and Nada a natural mating.
I really look forward in meeting them in a few days and we cross our fingers that the dogs like each other too!
Of course I will be taking plenty of photos of Soro during his days here so more updates will come once they are mated.
Nada is settling in with our pack nicely. She will be living with us until she is mated and then go back to her owners until the final 2 weeks of her pregnancy. Now she gets to stay with her mum, grandmother, grandfather and littlesister!
