Penny is on day 44 today which means we have less than three weeks to go. I paid her a visit today when I was nearby to get some new photos of her. Her belly is really starting to fill out and now she looks very pregnant even to an untrained eye.
She was very happy about getting some yummy treats and attention before I had to say goodbye. Not long now until she moves in with us preparing for her puppies.

Penny has spend the last week here with us and her belly has really grown. Only four weeks left now and her belly will just get bigger every day!
She is doing well. I have noticed that she is not as interested in playing with my other dogs now as she has been before. She is also very hungry and is hoping for extra food or treats all the time, she knows she can melt people with those dark brown eyes!
Tomorrow she is going home again but only two more weeks until she moves in to get prepared for the delivery.

Yesterday she was on day 30 of her pregnancy and I took some new photos. A full pregnancy for a dog is 63 days but it is not uncommon for them to give birth a few days earlier, so we are saying that we have now reached halftime.
Pennyis doing well. She did throw up a couple of times and did not fancy her breakfast the other day which is normal pregnancy signs. Now feeling better again and being very hungry!
For the untrained eye it is not easy to see a belly growing yet but I can see a difference in her ribcage that is starting to fill out. For a first time mum it takes longer for the belly to drop down and it is not until after day 35 that I usually think it get more visual.
I have made a comparison below and then I think you can see the difference too.

Penny and Wilson will be parents! Today on day 24 we confirmed with ultrasound that Penny is pregnant. Wilsons frozen swimmers where strong and the timing for the insemination was great and it was successful.
I am so excited to see them all in the middle of May. Penny is doing well, very hungry which I can understand with all of those puppies growing in her belly. So far it does not really show on her more than her increased apetite.
In a few mor weeks that underline will look a lot different!
