Tiya started her heat today on February 18th. We have been waiting a long time for it but I guess she prefers having her puppies in springtime! And I do too!
We will be taking bloodtests to check her progesteronelevels to make sure we find the perfect day for her to be inseminated.

Last weekend I traveled to Sandefjord in Norway with Colin and Maggie. This was Colins second time in Veteranclass and he won it again, giving him his second Veteran CACIB so he now only needs one more for the CIB-V title. He also won Veteran CAC and placed BOS Veteran.
The judge really liked his white adorable face.

I showed Maggie in juniorclass and the judge was tougher now. Only one got excellent, and it was not Maggie. She got VG like the others but placed 2nd. The classwinner did not get CQ so no junior CACIB was given (which was why I was there with Maggie). 
A little disappointing but she did well.

On January 27th "Dash" (AUSTCH Marandela Take the Money N Run) gave birth to 9 puppies sired by my boy "Maddox" (SEUCH SEVCH NOUCH FINCH Ave Caesar Diamond Jewel of Rubi).
7 girls (4 correct, 3 ridgeless) and 2 boys (1 correct stillborn, 1 ridgeless).

I started to think that maybe she would live forever. But on Monday morning it was time for Emma to say her final good bye to Meya (SEVCH RLDN RLDF RLDA Kadamo Penny Lane). After a couple of days being ill and not really showing signs of improvment it was time to let her go. Meya was born in my Beatles-litter (Moa x Wilson) in 2010 and has since then had a special place in my heart. Meya was 15 years and 8 months old, so was only four months away from her 16th Birthday. To achieve this very old age is not at all common in a ridgeback. Both Meya's parents became very old too but I think the love and care her owner Emma gave her also played a big part.

SEVCH NW1 Kadamo Sentra "Luna" from the Nissan-litter (Heera x Dexter) has won her second diploma in Nose work TSM2.  Congratulations and very well done to team Luna and Jakke!

On Saturday we had a great day together with a bunch of puppybyers and their owners. We had rented an indoor dogarena and had Malin Gregebo come and teach us about how to work with them for balance and strength. All the dogs got to try several different balanceballs and stools. I hope you all got inspired o continue this at home! Thank you Malin for once again sharing your knowledge with us!

Kadamo Red Strawberry Moon "Kiara"  8 months old from the Red-litter (Penny x Wilson) attended one of two show at My Dog in Gothenburg this weekend.  It was 7 puppies entered and she placed Best Bitch with HP and Best of Breed. The judge Veli-Pekka Kumpimäki, Finland, thought very highly of her and gave her a very lovely critique.
