Our puppies are now 8 weeks old and the first 8 has moved to their new families. I still have 4 boys looking for their perfect families. Below are lots of mixed photos of them from their last week together. Enjoy!

The puppies turned 7 weeks old on Thursday and we had a new photoshoot making stacked pictures of them. All their names are now official aswell. Enjoy!

We had some lovely days with sunshine and of course I had to take the opportunity to let the puppies come outside. The temperature has been a bit cold so they have not been really sure that going outside was the greatest idea though... But still being curious they started to explore and play, and some also stepping out on the snow, well it's more like ice now.
I do keep hoping for warmer degrees soon so we can spend more time outdoors these last 2 weeks. 
You can tell that the puppies are so much more saticfied when they get to explore new things. Even if it is just new toys, or a new noise as they are playing in the kitchen while I am cooking and so on. They can also interact a lot better with all the other big dogs, learning different signals. Colin just wants to play, Koya often wants to play but not always, Mira you can not use as a milkbar ALL the time... you need to listen to her and give her kisses too! Moa, well she wants to be left alone... but you can always try to tease her ;-)

Yesterday the puppies turned 6 weeks old and I was able to steal my husband for a couple of hours during the day to assist me with this weeks photoshoot. So below you can see stacks, head- and ridgeshots of all 12 puppies. Enjoy!

The puppies are now 5,5 weeks old and the days are passing by quickly. They have enjoyed some time out playing on our whole groundfloor, which means lots of space to run around and a lot of things to explore.
This afternoon the sun came out and warmed up our front porch which means it was time to open up the doors to let the puppies have a look outside. They got to stay on the porch and not go down in the snow today, thought it was enough with the view this first time out!
Happy and tired puppies has enjoyed the rest of the afternoon sleeping!

The puppies are now 5 weeks old and we had another photoshoot this Thursday. They were not in the mood for the headshots, so I did not publish them. They all just looked so tired! So below you can see their new stacks and ridgephotos.
They have been weighed this week aswell and also dewormed for the second time. They are growing so much now! In three more weeks they will have doubled their weight from now!

Our darling puppies are now 4,5 weeks old and doing so well. They have gotten a bigger playarea now and is awake and active for longer periods at a time, even if it is most of the time not for more than 30-60 minutes.
They are eating all together from two big puppybowls and being fed 3 times by me and even more than that still by Mira.
They are all very social and is always happy when I sit down to cuddle with them, everyone wanting to be in my lap for a good cuddletime!
Our lovely future puppyfamilies has started to visit us this past week and more is coming. The puppies I am sure are enjoying the new addition of people and clothes to chew on!
New photoshoot will take place this week, might have to do the stacked photos again on Tuesday when my husband is home, otherwise I will do my best attempt by myself on Thursday.

The puppies are now 4 weeks old and we have reached halftime for our time with them. So just 4 more weeks until they will start to move to their new homes.
I had a photosession and took their stacked photos on Tuesday, at the age of 3 weeks and 5 days because my husband was home to help me. But their headshots was taken yesterday when they were exactly 4 weeks old.

The puppies are now 3 weeks old and getting more active. They have now been eating solid food once a day for a few days as compliment to the milk they get from Mira. The older they get the more solid food  will be getting, adding with one meal a day. 
So far they are getting fed one by one, in that way I can control that they all get some food and that the smaller puppies gets what they need.
They also yesterday got to eat for the first time on the table. Every week when I do stacked photos (from next week and forward) the stand on a table. Usually the puppies does not even notice this because they are busy eating whatever is being offered to them ;)
But still, good for both them and me to practise! (No pictures to publish from this week though.)
This week we have also weighed them all again, they have been dewormed for the first time and again had their claws cut.

My daughter Ellen is almost 2,5 years old and she absolutely loves the puppies. If I don't keep an eye on her I will find her in the puppybox all the time, sharing her toys with the puppies, reading them a book or just taking a nap.
The photos below is from when the puppies were 18 days old, and Ellen go to take her nap with them in the afternoon.
I love to see how Mira is fine with Ellen around the puppies. For me it is so important that Mira is comfortable and feel safe with her babies, and if she would even give Ellen a look showing that she doesn't appreciate having her there, Ellen is out. But that never happens.... Mira does not say I thing!
So the other day Ellen and the puppies was all asleep and Mira just joined them and fell asleep aswell.

Today Mira and the puppies (and me) recieved a big package all the way from Russia, and the puppies dad Boy and his owner. The package was filled with toys and things to chew on for the puppies, a lovely collar and lead for Mira, and beautiful painting and also for Colin a nice collar and lead! Thank you so much Anastasia and Valeria for sending all of this to us! 
Mira and my daughter Ellen helped out and unpacked the box very fast, Ellen giving all the toys straight away to the puppies!

The puppies are now 17 days old and today we changed the puppybox for them. They have started to move around so I felt it was time to give them a little surface on the floor to start to get down from the bed. Now when they wake up they start to pee, whereever they are... So from now on it is time to try to get them off their bed and down on the floor to do their thing!
Yesterday I cut their claws for the second time. This is something I try to do once a week to keep them from getting to long and also to get them used to do this right from the start!

The puppies are now 2 weeks old and yesterday they had their weekly photoshoot. They are still to small and unstable to be able to sit up and show themselves off, even though they are now getting around the whelping box on all four legs.
The next week I hope to be able to get them to start walk off their bed to pee and poo, this normally takes a little bit of time to learn when you are this little...
All puppies now have their eyes open and even though they still sleep very much the short time that they are awake is just precious! They are so adorable, curious and loving. They all know how to clim into my bed and sometimes at night they wake me up with kisses!

They are gaining weight steadily, the big once still in the lead and the smaller once a little bit behind, but all gaining weight well in proportion to their size. At some point during this week they will get their first taste of solid food. I usually try to wait until the first teeth break through, and that is not far away now.

The puppies are now 13 days old and tomorrow it is time for another individual photoshoot! But until then I thought I would share some mixed photos with you, since they have now opened their eyes! They are all adorable, they were before aswell but now even more!

The puppies are now 10 days old and growing at the speed of light! They started opening their eyes yesterday and today even more. Within the next few days they should all be looking back at us! Love this stage of their development, such a lovely thing seeing them becoming more and more "doglike" and less like fat sausages! 
The other day they all got their claws cut for the first time! They all survived!  Below are some photos of them, most taken yesterday at 9 days of age. In the bottom is also a video of them moving around 10 days old. Enjoy!

Our tiny babies are now 1 week old! Or they are not so tiny... not now or even when they were born based on their weights! All but two has now past 1 kg!

Mira has shown a change in behaviour the past one or two days. Now and then when the puppies are sleeping she acctually leaves the puppybox to come and rest on the couch next to the rest of us, and she is ok with coming along for short walks and not just stepping outside to pee and then run back inside again. 
I am happy for her, this is so much better for her than laying in the puppybox the whole time. Of course she is in there pretty much all the time but I think she can rest better outside, more undisturbed sleep!
She is also more relaxed with the other dogs. I don't let any of them come into the puppybox, but she is ok with them looking in to see the puppies at a distance.

Today the puppies are 5 days old and growing steady. All are gaining weight, are strong and heathy. Mira is doing very well too, she is just as last time an excellent mother. She is caring, protecting but at the same time relaxed. Amazing every time I have a litter, to see the mother just knowing what to do, and doing it so well. Really born to do this!

Happy to present the first individual photos of our gorgeous It-puppies! I think it is overall a very homogene litter, with not much telling them apart. But I am not surprised, Mira and Boy is a very nice and matching couple.

Oh wow, finally I can write that our precious bunch is born! It was a very long delivery, the longest I have ever experienced, but Mira is such a trooper and just like her mother Moa, a true breedingbitch, made to manage just this!
I will take the whole thing from the start!

Very early Thursday morning the 12th I was woken up several times but Mira's heavy breathing. At 2 am I decided to move my pillow and blanket to the couch next to the puppy box to let the rest of the family get some undisturbed sleep. 
When the bitch starts to breath heavy with open mouth and scratch around in her bed it's the sign that she has entered the openingstage of the delivery. Just like with humans this can take a long time, up to 24 hours is normal. 
So I knew I should try to sleep because we would have a few long days ahead of us! Mira of course felt the same way and were do you sleep best? On the couch next to or on top of me! 
The day went by in the same way, not until around 1-1.30 pm when I saw the first small signs of contractions. Finally we were moving into the next stage!
Already at 13.58 pm our first puppy was born without any problems! A lovely male weighing 674 grams.
I was excited to have the delivery finally started but pretty soon realized puppy number 2 was giving us some problems. I could feel the head of it but no paws, which means the front legs were turned backwards along the body, making it's shoulder even wider and more difficult to squeeze out. Mira was resting in between the contractions but still working hard without the puppy moving forward. I took her outside, ran with her, went up and down stairs and pushed the puppy back to see if I could make it change position and make it out easier. 
But nothing seemed to help so I decided to drive towards Strömsholm animal hospital for assistance. Knowing that we had so many puppies left I did not want to risk loosing them by waiting to long. So we packed ourselves into the car and me with Mira and the first puppy in the trunk and off we went. For 20 minutes she had good contractions but no puppy came out. I started to call the hospital again to prepare them for a C-section, but then, off course, out he came! Puppy number 2, another male!
So we turned around and went back home for the rest to come out. After that we got two more boys coming out easily and then we waited for number 5. But well, he did the same as number 2, came in the same position and took some team effort and patience before he finally was born aswell. 
The following five puppies came without problems and the clock was now a little over 00.15 am Friday morning. 
But then it stopped, again... this time it felt ok though. This time it just felt like the next puppy needed time to move all the way to the exit, but also Mira needed to eat, drink and rest. So she slept and took care of the 10 puppies she already had, and I also got some sleep. At 05.22 am puppy number 11 was finally born and he was the biggest of them all, 772 grams! That's a new Kadamo record!
After him she has another very long break but still she seemed to be feeling just fine so I was not stressed about it this time either. And yet again, after a bit more than another 5 hours wait our puppy number 12 came to the world!
After three more hours Mira delivered her last puppy, a beaautiful baby girl but unfortunately stillborn... The whole delivery, from first to last puppy took 24 hours... it proved to be to long for that last girl.
She had a correct ridge, just a small white spot on her chest and no DS found. 
I feel sad that we lost one of only three girls, with so few of them. But still I am so happy about the 12 healthy, strong and lively puppies that we have with us. 
Mira has been a trooper through out this whole thing, she has so much will, she instictable knows what to do, and trust me 100 %. 
So proud of her and love seeing her taking such great care of her little once. 
She has been sleeping since the last puppy was born and soon it is my turn aswell. We have been up since 2 am Thursday morning which now means for about 41 hours now... I have only gotten some sleep early this morning with several wakes up to check Mira and the puppy next to me... For some reason I do not feel exhausted... but think I will sleep pretty well tonight!

Mira is today on day 59 counting from her last mating with Boy. Still no signs of puppies... Last time she started her delivery on day 59 (but first puppy born on day 60) so I thought she would do the same this time, especially since she is carrying more puppies this time. 
But so far not showing signs of these puppies coming out yet!
This morning she did not finish her breakfast and she did not want food before lunch, but that was just a temporary dip, now she is eating good again, so that was not the sign I was looking for. Well, we will just continue to wait! Sooner or later the puppies will be here! Hopefully my next update will be with photos of our precious bunch!

Yesterday we got some lovely sunny weather and at lunch we could even go outside without thick dogcoats on and get some photos of Mira and her giant belly.
Today I did a little photoshoot indoors of her belly in different angles. I can now tell that Mira is more than ready to get these puppies out!
She is struggling to sleep and is breathing heavy and sometimes making lots of noise of discomfort... When she is up walking or standing she seems the least bothered. 
Today is day 56-58 of her pregnancy, so it should not take that many more days until she will start her delivery. I have my money on Tuesday, lets see if she will wait until then or perhaps even longer?
The most difficult for her and for us now is that she needs to go outside very often also during the night, The puppies is kicking around in her belly so she now accidently pees herself when trying to sleep... Last night we were out at 22 pm, 24 pm, 02 am, 05 am and again around 7.30 am. Her apetite is still huge so not showing signs of the delivery starting yet. We will just wait! If she would go the whole distance she would have a whole week left  counting fram the last mating, but as I have mentioned, I doubt that she will!
Let's keep our fingers crossed now that my next update here will be that her puppies has been born!

Today we did an X-ray of Mira's huge belly, and I think I see 13 puppies. You can never be truly sure when you have this many making the whole belly so crowded. But both me and my vet found 13 independent of eachother so that is what I guess we will have! Just one more week to go!
I also weighed her and she is up to 50,3 kg, which is about 11 kg weightgain. So not that bad, I usually say the gain 1 kg per puppy by the end of the pregnancy, so not that bad/much this time. She is doing ok still, her apetite is huge, she comes along on all our walks, doesn't run and play but still walks on without any hesitation. All she has left to do now is rest and wait for what will come!

Today Mira is on day 49-51 of her pregnancy. Yesterday the weather was very mild so she got to enjoy a walk in the woods without her jacket on and of course I took my camera with me, to get some photos of this pretty fat dog!
She enjoyes her walks still, most of the time just walking along in her own paste, but now and then decides to run a little and take part of some play.
Indoors she is like my bitches usually are the last 1-2 weeks. Uncomfortable and tired. She sleeps a lot and has now found some sleeping positions that she prefers. She eats food four times a day, and we sneak her some left over inbetween her meals aswell ;)

Last time Mira had puppies she gave birth on day 59-60. If she does the same this time we are ready for a delivery in the beginning of the week after next, that means in about 9 days and forward. So we can soon start to count down!
Yesterday we had the puppybox installed in the livingroom. All the blankets, towels, small scale, puppycollars and everything we need for the delivery is now laid out and we are prepared. 
I am working this week but Mira will be staying home with Christoffer expect for one day when I will take her with me for a last check up by my vet, do X-ray to try to count how many puppies we can expect and also get a new weight on her.
Another update will come during the week and what I guess is our last belly picture coming next Sunday! Then after that it is countdown for real!
