We are celebrating New Years Eve with our lovely puppies. Mira is doing well again, back to being constantly hungry and begging for food. All puppies are back on track gaining weight and they are opening their eyes,

Last night Mira started the delivery of our awaited Lionking-litter. The first 9 puppies came within 5 hours, then she had a good rest for about 3 hours before puppy number 10 arrived. After that another 2 hours rest for number 11 and then almost 6 hours break until we finally met our number 12.
I had seen for sure 12 heads on the X-ray, but was not sure if there was perhaps more, since I could not follow each spine to a head (sounds nasty I know!).
So not that surprised when she started having contractions and showing signs that the delivery was not over.
But is sure took some time... she rested, had some contractions, went outside to pee, ate some food and drank water, some more contractions and rest. Five hours later we got a stillborn beautiful correct girl. I knew it was too late but still tried all I could to resuscitate her but no luck.
But Mira was not finished here, she had two more puppes in there and now I was a little bit stressed since the one before had died, most likely do to the placenta getting detached and the delivery taking to long.
I could feel the nose and head when I examined her, but no legs, so they were folded backwards. We went outside several times, tried to have Mira standing with her frontlegs up on my bed, giving her more food for energy, eggyoke and dextrose but the puppy hardly moved forward, being a bit stuck on the pelvis. I tried several times to get a hold of it but couldn't get my fingers behind it's neck/head and I started to think that perhaps I would have to go to the animalhospital to get help. But then I got it, I got a hold and could pull her out when Mira had contractions and I was so happy to see the puppy alive! A wonderful girl who forgot her ridge.
After a little rest Mira started to have contractions again and did a new examination and yes, there was another puppy on the way coming with backlegs first. I left it for a while to give Mira a chance to do the job herself and she did so well, and puppy number 15 came out without a problem.
This is my biggest litter ever, previous record was 13 puppies (12 alive in Mira's It-litter) and now we got 15 (14 alive).
A summary of what we got: 15 puppies, 10 females (6 correct, 1 stillborn, 4 ridgeless) and 5 males (4 correct, 1 ridgeless).
I think I have managed to sleep about 3 hours in total since yesterday morning so feeling just like Mira, pretty tired! I will take the first individual photos of the puppies tomorrow so more updates will follow!

Mira has done an amazing job, as always. The birthweights where a little bit lower than previous litters, but that is just good since she usually pushes out tiny monster puppies! She is such a good mum, keeping an eye on each and everyone, gathering all of them close to her not happy when one wonders off in thw wrong direction.
All the puppies seem healthy and strong at the moment. I have not gone through them all for DS so will have to get back to you about that status.

For now we are both very tired after two long days and one night with very little sleep. To all of you on my waitinglist, I will contact you soon!

Today it was time for the last show of the year. I started off by showing the son of Mira and Colin, Kadamo God of Thunder "Zeke" from the Kiss-litter. It was his official showdebute in juniorclass and he did great. He recieved Excellent and was running in first place until the last lap where he was moved to second. But still happy with 2nd Best Juniormale with CQ at his first show.
In Openclass Kadamo Fire it Up "Arrax" from the Fire-litter (Enya x Leo) and recieved VG. After this it was time for the girls and Tiya's second time in juniorclass. She recieved Excellent and placed 4th with a very nice critique.
In intermediateclass I got to show Kadamo I Am Bagheera "Heera" from the Jungle Book-litter (Segra x Khan) and she did very well, recieved Excellent and placed 2nd after the bitch who went all the way to Best of Breed today.
I had two lovely veterans present today. SEVCH Kadamo From Me to You "Troya" from the Beatles-litter (Moa x Wilson) who was shown for the second time ever in her life today, recieving a VG. SEUCH FINCH SEVCH SEVW-18 Kadamo Thinking of Tilley "Tilly" from the Canada-litter (Yaya x Akala) recieved Excellent and placed 4th Best Veteranbitch.
Happy with a nice day around the ring with friends and my sweet daughter Ellen who stayed patient the whole day keeping us company!
Thank you all for a great and successful year. See you around the ring next year for more fun!

We are closing in on our duedate! Just one week and a couple of days left. Her bell has really filled out the past few days and she is not comfortable laying down. It takes some changing positions before she can relax. Outdoors she is still fine, and comes along for our walks. but we don't go very far. Some new photos in the Pregnancy & Puppy Dairy.

As many of you know my foundationbitch Moa (CIB NORDUCH EECH SEVCH NVH RLDN RLDF LP1 CV SEVW-14 NORDVW-16 DKVW-16 Hamnuddens Fischer) has become a grand old lady by now. Moa is 13 years, 3 months and 13 days as I am writing this.
Just over a year ago she got sick for the first time in her life. We found a tumour in her liver and I thought that we had reached the end.
But since it was the first time she was sick, I decided to start treatment for her symptoms, which was a fever and infection. And she responded to this treatment, and within a week or two she was doing very well again.
I then did not know how long it would last, when would that tumour get us to the end? Was it a matter of days, weeks, or perhaps even months away?
And they passed, the days, the weeks and the months. And she was fine, absolutely fine. She does have some elderly issues she is being treated for, but still, doing just fine.
Her livertumour has not changed in over a year, and she has been checked with bloodsamples and ultrasounds regurarly. So what she was sick of back then was hepatitis, an infection, probably cause partly by her tumour.
Until one week ago exactly she has had no symptoms from this again. When we left work in the late afternoon last Thursday she was a bit lazier than normal, so I checked her temperature, 38,7 C. Normal for a dog, but for her a little bit high. I made sure I had things needed for IV fluids at home if she would get worse. Two hours later at home she did not want her dinner and I checked her temperature again, 39,2 C. Ok, it's back, the day I had feared for more than a year was here.
I got her on IV fluids right away and antibiotics and antiinflammatory medicine. Two hours later her fever was 39,6 C but she was ok to go outside but not interested in food. I stayed up with her, made a bed for us on the floor in our guestroom until she got all her IV fluids. Then we went to bed. In the morning her fever was gone and she was hungry! And since then she has been just fine again. So I think we caught is so fast she never got really bad.
I do think she breaths a bit heavier when she sleeps deeply, so on Monday we did bloodtests and X-rayes. The bloodtest showed really good numbers for her liver, better than in a long time strangely. Her CRP was around 50, which shows she has an infection/inflammation in her body. When she was sick last year it was a lot higher than that, so hopefully going down already.
But, there is always a BUT when you talk about good things... Her chest X-rays where not so good... Her lungs sounds fine and so does her heart, but in her lungs we found tumours.
I strongly hope that these are now aggressive tumours, and that the infection and fever is not caused by them. She is still on antibiotics so we won't until after I stopped giving them if she will stay ok or be sick again...

Along the way her being ill last year and now, and get different reactions. Most people are very loving and supporting, understanding that I want to give her a proper change with treatment and not just say oh well she is old, let her go.
Other people seem to think that they have a say in this, or that their opinion matter. And want me to be sure to not put her through to much.
To those people I can only say, relax and back off. If I see that Moa has no life left in her eyes, that her body fails and does not respond to treatment anymore, I will let her go. But she is not there yet. She is the thoughest nut to crack!
She is back to her normal self at the moment, begging for food at the table, and of course getting a piece now and then, since that is one of the benefits of ageing! She comes walking in between my legs demanding a proper backrub and earscratch, and she get's them everytime she asks, because that is another one of the benefits, when you're owner think you are on the edge between life and death, they will do every little extra thing just for you!
Because that is the truth, I have no idea how much time I have left with Moa... All I know is that she is old... she has tumours...something will eventually take her, she won't live forever no matter how hard I try to make her.

So now, to the point I was going with this long story. When you live with a Golden Oldie, treasure every moment, make them count. When your dog asks for a piece of left overs from your plate, give it to them. When they lay down next to you on the couch, give them a proper cuddle. When they want to go for a walk, but perhaps slower than normal, take them and in their time.
Also, try to let them do the things they loved when they were younger, if needed adapt it so they can manage.
Moa loved tracking and obedience, so this year I have tried to let her do that, and not just grow old in body and mind. Moa still get's to do some clickertraining, she knows all the tricks and she will try them all to get that treat!
I believe these small things has help Moa stay with us this past year. Being in pack of dogs, her daughter and granddaughters around here. Coming along on all our walks, offroad in woods keeping her body in shape, but as mentioned, bloodtracking and clickertraining too, keeping her mind alive.

I was only 22 years old when I got Moa. We were destined for eachother, everything worked out just as it should when I got her. Now, 13 years later I don't know how my life will be when she is not here, because she has been, every day for 13 years, I have said good morning and good night to her. I really hope and pray that I get to say that for a long time still.

Love you to the moon and back Moa, I will do anything and everything for you!

This song is Moa and my song, I love the lyrics.

I'm Not Giving Up - Andy Grammer

I will fight
I will fight for you
I always do until my heart
Is black and blue

And I will stay
I will stay with you
We'll make it to the other side
Like lovers do

I'll reach my hands out in the dark
And wait for yours to interlock
I'll wait for you
I'll wait for you

'Cause I'm not givin' up
I'm not givin' up, givin' up
No, not yet
Even when I'm down to my last breath
Even when they say there's nothin' left
So don't give up on
I'm not givin' up
I'm not givin' up, givin' up
No, not me
Even when nobody else believes
I'm not goin' down that easily
So don't give up on me

And I will hold
I'll hold onto you
No matter what this world'll throw
It won't shake me loose

I'll reach my hands out in the dark
And wait for yours to interlock
I'll wait for you
I'll wait for you

'Cause I'm not givin' up
I'm not givin' up, givin' up
No, not yet
Even when I'm down to my last breath
Even when they say there's nothin' left
So don't give up on
I'm not givin' up
I'm not givin' up, givin' up
No, not me
Even when nobody else believes
I'm not goin' down that easily
So don't give up on me

Whoa, whoa
Whoa, whoa
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah

I will fight
I will fight for you
I always do until my heart
Is black and blue

Tomorrow Mira is on day 35 which means 5 och the 9 weeks has passed, and we are more than halfway towards meeting those puppies she is carrying. Mira is doing well and is mostly the same as always. It is only her appetite that is bigger than ever, she is absolutely crazy about food. She is wellbehaved so thank god she is not climbing our countertops stealing food, but everything the kids drop on the floor she claims as hers by swallowing it within a nanosecond!
A few more photos of her belly in the Pregnancy & Puppy Diary.

Today I headed for the national dogshow in Gimo with Colin and Tiya. At the show we were joined by Ace and Daisy with families aswell.
First out was Ace (Kadamo I was made for lovin' you) from the Kiss-litter (Mira x Colin) making his debute in Juniorclass just 9 months and 1 week old. He did well but I think he would have prefered played with everyone instead of standing still and running all proper.
He recieved Excellent and placed 4th in the class!
After him it was time for dad Colin to enter Championclass. He did well, though a bit annoyed by the flies, he hates them! He won the class and in Best Male he finished 2nd.
After the boys it was the girls turn an official debute for Tiya in juniorclass. I had no expectations at all, I am always the most critical when it comes to my own dogs and think she is such a typical junior in body at the moment, very leggy and overbuilt.
But the little girl got excellent and acctually won the class with CQ! After that we went all the way to Best Bitch 4 with R-CAC! Very promising start for this little girl!
Bigsister Daisy (SEVCH Kadamo Brings It Back Again) from the It-litter (Mira x Boy) recieved Excellent in Openclass but finished just outside placement.
A nice day for us! Now we have a break from the shows for a little while!

In Openclass Kadamo Fire it Up "Arrax" was shown by his owner Amanda, and he did so well gaining Excellent and placed 2nd in the class.
In Championclass I showed Colin and won with CK, so time for Best Male. A good quality class where the judge today liked Colin the most, so he finished Best Male with Nordic-CAC and later BOS.
I showed SEVCH Kadamo Brings It Back Again "Daisy" in openclass and she got excellent and placed 3rd in the class.
I was also happy to be cheered on by Mira's daughter Skilla and her family who stopped by today! Thank you all for a nice day despite the rain!

For the fourth year I invited my puppyfamilies and their dogs to join us for a few days hiking in the mountains in the north of Sweden. This year we went to Jämtland and Åre an stayed in two lovely houses. We were 18 people and 15 dogs enjoing three lovely days hiking.
We hiked to Blanktjärn (aprox 12 km), took the lift to the top of Åreskutan and hiked from Rundhögen towards Blåhammaren (aprox 10 km) . We did split up in groups and some went for longer hikes and some shorter.
For us this year we took it a bit easier. We had our three daughters with us (two that had to be carried) aswell as our grand old lady Moa 13 years old, and our youngster Tiya 7,5 months old. So they got to decide the pace and we took many stops, especially everywhere that there was water. All my dogs enjoy swimming so it was easy to get them to cool down, especially our third day when it was very sunny and warm.
So happy that we did this again, it is always so nice to be able to spend some extra time with all these lovely people and dogs. Thank you all for coming, hope to see all up somewhere up here in the north again next summer!

Today I took Tiya with me and went to the Nordic Show in Västerås. First I started with showing her brother Kadamo I was made for lovin' you "Ace" who was Best Male puppy with HP. Then I showed Tiya who finished 2nd with HP. Ace went up against the best bitch and won and became Best of Breed!
After the puppies it was time for their halfbrother Kadamo Go for It "Ivan" to make his showdebute. He was not sure exactly what the whole thing was about but behaved well and did ever better with result! He won the openclass with EXC, so not a bad debute!
In intermediateclass we had Mira's granddaughter Kadamo Runs with Raksha "Siri" who got VG today, she was a bit to small for this judge taste.
In openclass I showed SEVCH Kadamo Brings It Back Again "Daisy" who kept up her great work and yet again won the openclass with CQ. Unfortunately today the judge liked the younger dogs a bit better and she finished 4th Best Bitch. We keep on trying for that final CAC!

This past weekend we went for a few days holiday on the westcoast. We stayed at my parents cottage just 10 minutes from Tvååker and enterered two shows there. Day 1 was the Nordic Show judged by Arne Foss, Norway.
I first showed Tiya who placed best bitch puppy and Best of breed. After that I showed her dad Colin who placed 2nd in championclass and 3rd Best male.
Then it was time for Daisy in openclass who won and went all the way to 2nd Best bitch with R-CAC and R-Nordic CAC.
I was not sure if I should show Mira because she was in terrible false pregnancy with milk.... But I thought what the heck, and I am happy that I did! She placed 2nd in a lovely championclass and 4th Best Bitch. She still got it!

Day 2 was the National Show judged by Ewa Nielsen, Sweden. I showed Tiya again and she was best bitchpuppy and best of breed, and today her sister Inez was there placing 2nd with HP.
Colin stepped up today and won the championclass and finished 2nd Best male. Daisy got excellent but no placement in openclass today and Mira got Exc with CK but no placement,

We had two nice showdays but even nicer time off. I had my daughters with me who very much enjoyed spending time with their grandparents and cousins, swimming, playing and eating ice-cream! The dogs loved the big beaches and playing in the water, so we just have to go back next year!

On the 25th of March 2009 my A-litter was born. That was 10 years ago and of course that had to be celebrated!
I decided to invite all my puppies on a true dogweekend! We started on Friday afternoon with trying some nosework and listening to a lecture in physical training.
On Saturday we went to the dogracetracks in Västerås and started the morning with a lecture in First Aid for dogs, both in theory and practically. Everyone got to learn CPR, checking pulse,  making a bandages and more.
The dogs got to try the racetrack aswell as do some rallyobedience. I had found some very generous sponsores which made it possible for everyone to get a goodiebag and more prizes. Thank you Agria, Royal Canin, Tomas Lindgren/Chilli Design, Hundsimmet, Jenny Jurnelius Photography, Veterinären i Vallentuna, Nutrolin, Therese Berglind/Granngården, Lelles MC and Annelie Kvarnström.
On Sunday we went to Älgripans hundcenter in Årsunda. 14 dogs started the day in the woods competing in bloodtracking, all dogs got to try peoplesearch, meet a "fakebear" and learn about massage and stretching.
A long and busy weekend, filled with fantastic dogs and people, all working together making this weekend really great!
Thank you each and everyone for coming, it means so much for me that you came!

In these past 10 years 11 litter has been born, 110 puppies (5 stillborn/put to sleep as puppies), 88 are alive living in Sweden, 43 dogs and 60 people attended this anniversery.
My 100th puppy born in the kennel happend to be Kadamo Comin' Home "Tiya", my own girl from my last litter!

Below are three different albums with photos from our weekend, I had so many photos so they did not fit in one! Enjoy!

Today was the last Obedienceclass with my Kiss-litter, or five of them that has been doing the class. So extremely proud of them and their owners, they are not even 5 months old yet but still doing so well despite distractions that I think are tough for even older dogs.
Keep up the work, I think we have some future rallyobedience and obediencestars in this litter!
A couple of stacks of brothers Kadamo God of Thunder "Zeke" and Kadamo I Was Made for Loving' You "Ace" who is making their showdebute on Wednesday.

Today it was time for our second show of the year. I only had Colin with me, but three of my breedings was shown. First out was Kadamo Rumour Has It "Kili" in openclass, his first show since a puppy, now 2 years and 3 months old. He recieved VG in openclass.
I showed Colin in Championclass and he recieved EXC, classwinner with CQ and finished 2nd Best male. With Mira being back home but still in heat he has a tough time at the moment... He won't eat and no matter how tasty my treats were he was not interested...
So very happy with this placement despite his "sad" mood today!
In juniorclass little Kadamo Runs with Raksha "Siri" made her debute and recieved EXC and thanked off as 5th in the class.
I showed SEVCH Kadamo Brings It Back Again "Daisy" in a very big openclass where she placed 4th with EXC.
Thank you all for a nice day!

Today it was time for our first dogshow this year! It was the Swedish Winner Show in Sundsvall, judge Sara Nordin, SWE.
First out from us was Colin in Championclass, he recieved Excellent but was unplaced. After him our beautiful junior Kadamo I Am Bagheera "Heera" did her official showdebut with her owner/handler Mina. She was a bit unsure about the experience but still behaved well and recieved Excellent and placed 2nd in the class.
In Openclass I showed SEVCH Kadamo Brings It Back Again "Daisy" and she recieved Excellent but was unplaced. Thank you Olle and Kicki for keeping an eye on Ellen for me!
For the first time in a very long time I showed Moa in veteranclass. She is now 12 years and 9 months old, and even though she is a bit stiff in her movements she still enjoys it and runs with a happy tail.. Moa recieved Excellent and placed 2nd with CQ. The dog who beat her was SEUCH FINCH SEVCH Kadamo Thinking of Tilley "Tilly" who won the class and got the title Swedish Veteran Winner-19. Congratulations Jaana!
Thank you all for a great day! Next show next weekend!

After a long time struggling with one thing after another handsome and sweet SEVCH RLDN Kadamo Fire and Ice "Nixon" was put to sleep on Monday. Him and his owner has been fighting and struggling for a long time with his issues, going through several big exams, surgery and rehab. But in the end, he didn't get any better, only worse and it was time to make him painfree.
Nixon stood out already as a puppy! Such a beautiful boy who was a real eye-cather. I feel very sad to see him go, and my thoughts are with Petra, Göran and Annie during this awful time.
I hope that "littlebrother" SEUCH Kadamo I Am High Quality "Clinton" will give you some comfort aswell as your soon to come new puppy.

Today is a BIG day for me. Exactly 10 years ago my very first litter was born. I had the opportunity to borrow my bitch Moa's sister Fendi (SEVCH Hamnuddens Fendi) for my very first litter. We picked Swedish male Bosco (SEUCH SEVCH Zaxxon's Prince Bosco) to sire the litter, and the two of them really completed eachother.
We had 12 gorgeous puppies. I remember their delivery like it was yesterday. I remember Ms Orange (Gaya) being stuck and getting her out with the help and tips from our nanny Lotta. It was my first puppybirth and it was wonderful. Each and every puppy put their stamp on my heart and will always keep that place.
Standing here on their 10th Birthday I wished that they would all still be alive and with us to celebrate this day, but unfortunately six of them has left us to soon. So today our angels Leya, Gaya, Chanel, Buster, Dayo and Charlie are with us in our thoughts and hearts. Alive and still doing well is Shila, Myy, Ramoz, Vidar and Boston. Our German export Jenna was rehomed and after that I have no idea how she is, but hoping she is still out there!
I have recieved some recent photos of some of our birthday dogs, thank you for that!

This summer I will celebrate 10 years as a breeder together with many of my fantastic puppies and their owners! I am so happy to stand here 10 years later and still love it as much as I did then!
Big kisses to my Birthday puppies! Lots of love from the bottom of my heart!
