This weekend my US export Kadamo Going for Gold "Seger" from my Gold-litter (Kayla x Idde) was shown at the Alexandria Kennelclub show in Louisiana.
This handsome 1 year old won the Puppyclass and finished as Winners Dog with 5 points major! Judge was Mr Donald Gill , US.
In the US a dog needs 15 points to finish a Championtitle and you can win maximum 5 points at one show, so very proud of this result!
The next day it was showtime again and Seger finished very nicely reserve.
Big congratulations to owners and handler!

On Friday Kadamo All I See is Gold "Zoie" from my Gold-litter (Kayla x Idde) was X-rayed. She was scored with Hips B and Elbows 0, which means she is all clear!
Wonderful news! Can't wait to get the rest of her siblings X-rayed during the spring.

On Sunday morning me and Mira and the rest of the pack and family drove to Nykvarn outside of Stockholm to attend Mira's very first Obediencecompetition in class 1, held by Södertälje BK.
Because of the success with Koya at MyDog show I thought I would miss this competition. But I was very happy to be able to change group and compete in the morning before I had to take the train back to Gothenburg.
Mira did a very good job and I am very pleased with our first competition. A few small mistakes but nothing major so we scored points on everything.
Our final score was 171 points and the limit for a 1st prize is 160 points, so well over! This also took us all the way to a 3rd placement!
This truly was the best start of the day and I was happy to have Christoffer and Ellen there cheering for us! And we finished in time to get me and Koya back to Gothenburg in time for the BIS-finals!
We have a few busy but very successful days behind us, now we charge our batteries and soon you'll see us out there competing again! Until then I will just enjoy all the success my girls had this weekend!
Below are two videos from the competition and some photos. Enjoy!

After three very eventful days in Gothenburg I am now at home trying to grasp what just happend at MyDog International Shows!
I decided to go to the shows but only with my young girl NOJW-15 SEVCH Kadamo I'm In It for the Gold "Koya". Koya will be 1 year next week and has been to 7 shows since she became a junior in the middle of October. Her results has been:

SWEDEN:
1x Best Junior, Best Bitch, BOB, CAC, BIG-1, BIS-5, Crufts qualified
1x Best Junior, Best Bitch, BOS, CAC
1x Best Junior, 4th Best Bitch
1x 3rd Best Junior with CQ

NORWAY:
1x Best Junior, Norwegian Juniorwinner 2015, 4th Best Bitch, R-CAC

FINLAND:
1x Best Junior, 4th Best Bitch, CAC
1x Best Junior with CQ

So from all her shows so far she has gained Excellent with CQ and been Juniorclasswinner at all shows but one.
To own a dog like her who has really had a rocketstart of a showcareer is amazing. But to ALSO be the breeder of this dog is even more wonderful!
When I make combinations I try to always plan for the future. One step at a time to get to my final goal of what I think is a sound and beautiful dog.
And to have achive this in Koya, from only two combinations from my starting bitch CIB NORDUCH EECH SEVCH NVCH RLDN RLDF CV Hamnuddens Fischer "Moa" is great.
But I have to say, that what I treassure just as much as these wonderful results is the strong personality that I have seen in Koya these few days.
From the hours spend on public trains, buses, restaurants, crowded trainstations, huge showgrounds with loud speakers, new people, dogs and much more, Koya has stayed cool and relaxed. She has been able to sleep wherever we have been and just kept her high spirit troughout it all.
And no matter how many big wins she will get, it is the dog that I have at home with me that I treassure everyday.

I want to take the opportunity to THANK each and everyone of you who has been congratulating me, sending me messages and just been very supportive. I am humble for all the attention Koya has been getting and how many of you out there that has fallen in love with her. Thank you to each and everyone of you who has taken time to tell me all the kind words about her. I appreciate it all so much!

And I also want to say a big thank you to Ann-Sophie Lindman and Pernilla Svedjeby who came and cheered for me and Koya during the BIS-finals yesterday. Thank you for both photos and vidoes!

At 4 am on Thursday morning my alarmclock went off and up we went! Koya and me were taking the expresstrain from Stockholm to Gothenburg at 6 am. I knew that we would be in a rush to get to the dogshow in time, when I booked the trainticket I had thought more dogs would be shown and that I would have more time to get to the showground in time...
Once in Gothenburg my dear friend and puppybyer Ann-Sophie picked us up in her car and drove us to the show were I pretty much ran the whole way to the ring.
Luckily we got there with time to spare so I could calm down before entering the ring.

Day 1 of the International Dogshows MyDog was judged by Mr Gunnar Nymann, DK. Breedentry: 46.
I showed Koya in Juniorclass and was abit nervous since I was told that the judge had not given out any CQ's among the males until Championclass.
But Koya showed off and recieved Excellent and CQ and got to compete for Best Bitch! Once there this amazing young girl, just one week away from her 1st Birthday won! She became Best Bitch with Swedish CAC! Unfortunately still to young to compete for the CACIB so that went on to the second best bitch.
Sooooo proud is to say the least! She went up against the Best Male and today finished as BOS.

Koya's critique (translated to English):
"1 year. Very pleasing outline . Good lines in the head and body . Good expression . Scissor bite. Good muzzle and skull. Nice neck , ridge and topline . Excellent croup, well angulated . Really good forechest. Moves with good stride . Good front."

After the stressful start of the day we headed with Malin and Koya's dad Idde for a walk and then back to our hotel to rest. In the evening we went for dinner at O'Leary's and was very happy that the dogs was allowed to come inside with us. So instead of getting take out we sat down for a nice meal and the dogs behaved beautifully just sleeping on the floor.

Day 2 of the International Dogshows MyDog was judged by Mr Johan Juslin, FIN. Breedentry: 49.
Today I got to show Koya's sire Idde (CH Mankoya's Incredible Idde by Gambo) and I think we did ok together. He recieved Excellent and was placed as 3rd in Championclass.
Koya started the day with a bad stomache which of course got me worried. But despite this she showed off very well and she won the class again today with Excellent and CQ. This also qualify her to CRUFT's 2017.
So happy to once again enter Best Bitchclass with my young girl. And again, I was so excited to see her be placed as Best Bitch with CAC! Again, the CACIB went to the 2nd Best bitch.
We competed against the Best Male and today my girl was the Best of Breed!

Koya's critique (translated to English):
"A fantastic outline. Somewhat puppyish head but sexual characteristics is correct. Good forechest , beautiful arch of neck, excellent crowns, beautiful paws. Very smooth and elastic movements."

I had booked my trainticket home for 3 pm, but since it was the same judge who was judging the BIG-finals I just had to stay. So I booked another ticket home for 8 pm and we had a loooong long wait before the finals.
But what can I say, it was worth staying! This silly little girl was the judge absolute favourite today and she was placed as BIG-1! It is not very often that a Ridgeback makes it to the BIS-finals and I can count on one hand how many times I have been in one. So getting there with my 1 year old dog feels amazing!
The BIS-finals will be held on Sunday afternoon. I was offered a hotelroom to stay until then, but I decided to go home and instead take the train back on Sunday.

So tomorrow afternoon we are going back to Gothenburg for a few hours and showing off in the BIS-finals! Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Below are a couple of short videos of Koya in the BIG-ring and below photos from our two days in Gothenburg.

A big thank you to Malin for your company, to Ann-Sophie for the carride, to Ulrika for the tasty livercandy and to Petra for taking videos and cheering for us in the finals, and to all of you who just congratulated me and made my day even more special!
