JÖNKÖPING TRIPLE SHOW June 19-21 2010

On Saturday morning me and Yaya got in the car early in the morning and drove to Jönköping for the three days of showing. We arrived well in time for our turn and had time to relax by ringside. Todays judge was Maria Doppelreimer. Yaya was shown in Championclass and ended up as 3rd Best Championbitch.

Here is her very nice critique:
"Excellent type. Lovely head and expression. Very well shaoed body. Excellent angulation. Nice movement. Well handled."

After the show was finnished we sat down for a nice late lunch with waffles at the showground, yummie! Also my old friend Angelica who I went to on a language course with to California 10 years ago showed up to say hello. Very nice to see you again!!! Let's not wait another 10 years until we meet again!
In the afternoon we drove with Camilla, Ove, Zeus, Sofia, Ramses, Josefine and Pixie into Jönköping. There we found a small little beach were we let the dogs off to play for a little. Dogshows in all it's glory, I do think the dogs prefer the playtimes!

After this nice time with the dogs me and Josefine headed for our place in Gränna but with a quick stop at the grocery store. We arrived at the campingsite and our little cottage and the sun was now shining. So a nice dinner with grilled chicken outside in the lovely weather!
Later on in the evening we met up with Hanna who owns Arttu, Yaya's brother from Finland. They were staying at the same camping as us so we went for a walk together with all the dogs.
And this place was just wonderful. A nice walkway next to the water and some big fields were we could let the dogs run around and play! Such a great evening!

The second day of showing we headed towards the showarea in Josefines car. Arttu and Pixie in the trunk and Yaya next to me in the back. The love that Pixie had felt for Arttu on Saturday evening was now gone and he felt it and decided to clim over to the backseat and sit in my lap instead. Such a sweet and cuddly boy! Love him!
Todays show was judged by Christian Stavarche. Arttu was shown for the first time in Sweden and did very well but unfortunately no placement in Best Male class. Yaya was again shown in Championclass and battled it out with the same dog as she stood against at Swedish Winner the weekend before, Malaika. That time Yaya won but this time she was 2nd. So time for Best Bitch class and I was very happy to see that the judge kept us standing as number two and placing the other dogs behind us. So today my little girl was 2nd Best Bitch with reserv-CACIB!
Very happy about that. Earlier in the judging I was a bit upset because I felt like the judge wasn't looking at Yaya and not paying her any attention. She did get a very short critique but now afterwards I have to see that he didn't look that much at her because he had already decided that he liked her.

Her critique:
"Strong intype. Good proportions. Good colour. Good movement. Good temperament."

After the show this day me and Josefine headed towards our little cottage straight away to enjoy a couple of hours in the sun. The weather was very nice this afternoon and since I am still spending most of my days indoors keeping an eye on the puppies it was so lovely to just sit outside for a little while. The girls didn't seem to mind either!
After some sunbathing we took a nice walk again, then went down to the harbour and bought ourselves a pizza and some ice-cream. The day ended with a nice massage and stretching session for the dogs yet again, necessary to stay on top! Yet another absolutely great day!

Third and last day of showing, judge today was Salvatore Tripoli. Yaya did well again finnishing as 3rd Best in Championclass and unfortunately not placed in Best Bitch. Today our roommate Pixie shined and became 3rd Best Bitch just one dog from her first CAC! Congrats Josefine!
Also Yaya's brother Arttu did very well and he was 2nd Best in Openclass and also 2nd Best Male with Reserv-CACIB! Just one dog away from the Swedish CAC and the Championtitle...

Yaya's critique:
"Feminine expression. Good head, eyes and ears. Straight shoulder. Good body, topline and croup. Correct ridge. Good upper and lower thigh and coat. Good moving."

When the show was finnished I decided to get some new photos of Arttu before we left for home. I have to take the opportunity when I meet Yaya's lovely family! So sweet Josefine helped me take pictures when I stacked him and Hanna stood infront of us holding the girls and the meatballs.
Here are some of the pictures we took of him, the rest can be found HERE.
