MYDOG 2010

This year it was time for me and the girls to head off to MyDog International Dogshow again. This year without Johanna and Wilson but instead we got the pleasure to have Liselott and Wesley with us in their place. Not a bad trade! ;o)
We started with a walk around Sundbyberg on Wednesday before our long drive towards the westcoast. The roads was pretty slippery, not a surprise since it was about 15-20 degrees minus! COLD!
So we took our time and didn't rush and got there by dinner time in one piece. My lovely friend Tina was kind enough to let us borrow her place Kungliga Hundar were I was able to practice on Wednesday night with my puppies and were me and Liselott was also able to spend the nights.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Tina!

So Wednesday evening I met up with Gaya and Anna, Charlie and Jossan, Buster and Olle and Zeus with Camilla and Ove. We had a nice couple of hours of last minute practice and tips before the shows. All three youngsters has just turned 9 months old and was making their debute in Juniorclass.

So, Thursday morning arrives and it is still freezing outside. So a short walk before heading towards the showground. First out today was Charlie (Kadamo Don't mess with Texas) and his owner Jossan. They have attended a few puppyshows before and is a great looking team!
Today's judge was Rony Doedjins from Netherlands. He started off by scaring pretty much everyone there by trowing out more than half of the juniormales with blue or yellow ribbons!
To say that I was nervous when it was Charlies turn was to say the least! But he did very well standing but thought running was a little bit too boring so he did it in his own style! ;o) Luckily the judge still liked him and he was awarded a first prize! So out of a class of 11 dogs it was just 4 males (Charlie one of them) that recieved a red ribbon and was called back. Charlie ended up as number 4 with Honours Prize!
I am so happy about that! Congratulations Jossan and Olle!
His critique:
"Very nice dog, good type and size, nice head profile. Correct pigmentation, correct top and underline, very typical in feet. Typical in front and rearangulation. Nice croup and tailset. Needs to develop in frontmovement. He needs to get better cordination the move. But his general outline is very typical."

After this is was Anna and Gaya (Kadamo Too Hot to Handle) turn to enter the ring together. Anna has never attended a showpractice, so I was pumping poor Anna full of information... and she sucked it all in like a spunge! You know I have already said it but your are a pro Anna! I know you and Gaya will be rocking the rings in the future! You are a natural talent!
Gaya has onkly been to one puppyshow prior to this so she amazed me with her really cool personality and her great behaviour!
It was 9 dogs entered in their class I think and more dogs was recieving red ribbons by now. And Gaya was one of them an was also picked out for top 5, ending up as reserv with Honours Prize! Great job for these two new beginners!

Gaya's critique:
"Young bitch of correct type and proportions. Typical bone and substance. Correct head profile with nice eye and correct pigmentation. Correct body for age. Sufficient in front and rear angulation. Could be bit stronger in pasterns. Needs to get stronger on the move. Lovely temperament and presentation."

After Gaya is was Yaya's and my turn to enter the ring for the first time this year. She did it in the same style as she finished off 2009 with a classwin and CQ.
Her critique:
"Lovely feminine bitch. Very beautiful in outline. Very typical in bonce and substance. Very nicely made in head wth lovely eye and pigmentation. Excellent front and feet. Typical in frotn and rearangulation. Lovely colour and condition. Correct movements for age. Very well presented."

Moa entered Championclass but today the judge had changed his opinion about the entered dogs and Moa was 4th in the class without CQ, a little bit disapointing since she won the class and was 2nd best bitch for this judge only 2 months ago...
Her critique:
"Very nice bitch. Sufficient bone and substance. Correct in proportions and angulations. Lovely feminine head with nice dark eyes and very typical in expression and pigmentation. Very nice feet. Excellent top and underline. Typical croup and tailset. Nice colour and condition. Movements are ok. Very well presented."

Oh well. So in Best bitchclass I only had Yaya and at least she did good! She was moved up to 2nd place behind Lotta and Chelzie who was competing for their last CAC for the Championtitle, and they were BOB for this judge at that show in the fall. So when the judge had the two of us running for the first place I was nervous because of course I wouldn't mind winning, but I didn't really want the CAC. Since Yaya already has more than she will need for the Championtitle it would have felt bad to take it when Chelzie needed it more! So I was very happy to end up 2nd this day with reserv-CACIB!
HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Lotta and new Swedish Champion Chelzie!

Moa and me

After the show we went back to our place for some rest and a nice pizza for dinner! We were really tired and so was the dogs, so a very quite evening. Too bad since we had a great indoor hall for dogtraining... which we didn't use... :o(
We were a little bit cold but when you have some big dogs there is always someone who can keep you warm! See for yourself!

Yummie! A celebration chokladboll! The biggest one I have ever seen!

Yaya has occupied my lap, she isn't really as huge as she appears on this picture!

Moa has taken a comfortable place next to Liselott and shares a pillow!

On Friday it was time for day two of showing. Charlie was again the first one out doing a great job recieving a 1st prize once again. The puppies and juniormales was judged by Ove Germundson. The class was very big again today and he didn't do his best run, so unfortunately no placement today.
But still a very nice critque:
"9 månaders hane i stark utveckling full av kvalité. Maskulint mycket vackert huvud och uttryck. Utmärkt hals, stark rygg, korrekt formad ridge. Något kort överarm, behöver utvecklas mer i front och bröstkorg. Bra ben och tassar. Rör sig utmärkt. Bra bak och från sida, något ostabilt fram."

Gaya was out next and she and rest of the ridgebacks was judged by Bertil Lundgren, a little bit unfortunite swop of judge in last minute... I had been looking forward to show Moa again for Bo Wallin who placed her as 3rd best bitch about a year and a half ago... This swop was not in out favour... But Gaya and Anna did an amazing job today just as Charlie and also gained a 1st prize. She was again placed as reserv in juniorclass!
Her critique:
"Goda proportioner. Välformat feminint huvud, bra uttryck. Välburna öron. Lite löst halsskinn. Bra hals, lite öppna vinklar fram. Utmärkt bröstkorg. Stark rygg. Välvinklad bak. Rör sig med bra steg lite bundet fram. Bra benstomme och päls. Lång välformad ridge med bra kronor. Välvisad."

Congratulations to both A-puppies with owners for a great start in the official showring! I am so proud!

After the puppies Yaya entered the ring in intermediateclass finishing as 4th best but without CQ.
Her critique:
"Goda proportioner. Vackert feminint huvud, bra uttryck. Bra hals och skuldra. Välvinklad, bra förbröst. Tillräckligt lång bröstkorg, stark rygg, långt fallande kors. Rör sig med bra steglängd men blir underställd bak. Bra benstomme och päls. Tillräckligt långt och välformad ridge. Välvisad."

Moa was shown in Championclass with a great critque but no placement this time.
Her critique:
"Utmärtka proportioner, mycket feminint huvud. Bra uttryck. Vacker hals, väl tillbakalagd skuldra. Tilräckligt vinklad fram, bra bak. Bra bröstkorg, stram rygg, bra lårbredd. Rör sig med bra steg något bunden fram. Bra benstomme och päls. Ridge med bra längd och kronor. Värdig Champion."

First show for a while where I had no dog in Best bitch, does make you humble and respect different judges different taste in dogs!
Today we were also happy about our "bonuspuppy" Zeus who made it to 3rd Best Juniormale with Honours Prize. Congratulations to you!
And also a congratulations to our travelcompanions Liselott and Wesley who was placed in Championclass males both days!

A BIG THANK YOU to Ove Larsson, Mona Hansen and Liselott for all the lovely pictures you took of my dogs and puppies! Thanks a lot!
