ASKERSUND/ÖREBRO 2009

On Saturday morning I dropped Dando off at Johanna and Wilsons place and left with the girls to go to the National Dogshow in Askersund. Judge for the day was Carl Gunnar Stafberg, Sweden.
First I entered the ring with my friend Liselott's male Wesley in Championclass. He finished 4th with CQ but not placed in Best Male.
After this it was Yaya's turn to enter juniorclass alone. She got a 1st prize and CQ and this is her qritique:

"Mycket lovande. Fint feminint huvud med bra detaljer. Utmärkt hals, bra rygg, utmärkt ridge, bra vinklar, bra förbröst, rör sig väl. Utmärkt päls och färg."

Yaya and me running

After this it was Moa's turn in Workingclass. She did well and won the class with CQ. Moa has been classwinner every entry in workingclass and with CQ all but once this year! Not a bad record!
Her critique:

"Vackert huvud, bra detaljer. Utmärkt hals, markerat förbröst, utmärkt rygg, bra ridge, bra vinklat bakställ. Fin päls, vacker färg, rör sig med flyt."

Today Lotta from kennel Zaxxon's helped me to show Yaya in Best bitch and I showed Moa. Yaya was unfortunately not picked out and neither was the intermediate bitches. So first me and Moa was picked out for Top 5, together with the winner from Openclass and Championbitches.
The judge put the number 1 Championbitch between Moa and the openclass winner and had us run like that. My heart was beating soooo fast! We were running as number 1! And that final CAC didn't all of a sudden look to far away!
When the judge pointed us out as winners I thought I would faint!
She did it! She got her 3rd CAC and the Swedish Champion title and was also Best Bitch! The best feeling in the world!

We went against Emoyeni's Grand Zuberi "Lex" for Best of Breed which he got and Moa was Best of Opposite sex! I am so happy and pleased about this!

Moa has been pointed out as the winner! And I am realising she is now a Champion!

The judge congratulation me and Moa

BOB: Lex and BOS: Moa

Tina, I really enjoy standing like this with you! Can't we do this every day, every week?!
Happy as ever I drove to the woods with Jocke and Bosco and the girls. Of course we stopped at the Mc D on our way there! This day had to be celebrated!
So ice-cream and some french fries for the girls! We had a nice walk in the woods to. The dogs was pretty calm, well at least at first. Yaya gained some energy as we got along and Bosco fell more and more in love with Moa who on the other hand wasn't all that interested at the moment...

Moa enjoying her ice-cream

Moa and Yaya sharing the rest of the ice-cream

Bosco is in love with Moa as always... Moa who is no longer in heat is not to impressed...

After this we went to Sandra and Jockes place where me and the girls were staying the night. (Thank you so much for this!!!). There after some extra ordinary moves by me involving some windowclimbing we got in and the dogs got to meet on their cats!
This went a lot better than I could have dreamed about. I thought we would have a poor cat chased around the house but no, the dogs were really cool.
After an hours chilling we headed to Lotta and Johan at kennel Zaxxons for a nice BBQ dinner. There my first stop was in the puppypen! At the moment they have 10 adorable 6 weeks old Ridgeback puppies, cousins to my own America-litter.
They were all so lovely! Sharp teeth and all over me but still lovely!
(A few of these darlings are still looking for the right home. If you are interested see more of them at Kennel Zaxxon.)
We had a very nice day celebrating Moa's championtitle but not just that! Sandra and Jocke's boy Enzo (bred by Zaxxon's) was 3rd Best male today gaining his first CAC! Congratulations to all of you!
Thank you all for a great dinner and the best company!

Happy people, lovely dinner, the best company!

Darling Maximus always entertaining!

Moa is without a doubt ready for bed!
On Sunday morning we head to the showground again. This time for the Ridgeback Speciality Show judged by Per Svarstad, Sweden.
Yaya entered the juniorclass for the last time at 15 months of age doing it very well by winning the class with CQ and what I heard some nice words from the judge aswell.
Her critique:

"Underbart vacker helhet, huvud och uttryck. Stolt resning, vacker överlinje. Utmärkt bröstparti, kropp och benstomme. Mycket välvinklad och välgående. Utmärkt päls och ridge. Välvisad."

After this we had a break before it was time for Moa to enter the Championclass for the first time. She also did amazing acctually winning the class with CQ! Guess how happy I was by now!
Her critique:

"Mycket vacker helhet. Underbart feminint huvud, vackert uttryck. Mycket vacker överlinje, välformat rundat kors. Bröstkorg utmärkt. Utmärkt kropp, utmärkta ben och tassar. Mycket välvinklad, God muskulatur. Utmärkt päls och färg. Vacker ridge."

Today Sandra helped me show Yaya in Best Bitch so I could show Moa all the way trough her Championdebute. And Sandra and Yaya sure did a great job. They were picked out in Top 5 just like me and Moa and placed just infront of us. After that we got to run and run and run and that's how the judge placed us! My two girls as number 1 and number 2!!! I was (and still am!) very proud and happy!!!
Thank you Sandra for your help!

It was time for her to meet the Best male who again today was Lex! (Congratulations Tina!) Some more running in the sun before the judge decided for Yaya as the winner! Best of breed at a Speciality Show means BIS!!!
Yaya hereby has four CAC, 3 Best of Breed and 1 BIS and 2 Group placements and all from juniorclass! This girl has done so much more than I could have dreamed of already at this young age!

For the second time this weekend I got to go for BOB against Tina and Lex, and today me and Yaya got it!
(Tina, we have to stop seeing eachother like this... Or well, no... I acctually like it! Let's do it again soon!)

BOS: Lex BOB/BIS: Yaya

Yaya BIS at Askersund 15 months old!
On Sunday my lovely pup Leya and her Mum and Dad came to cheer for us and watch the show. Leya is one of the girls I have kept on breeding terms from the A litter and she needed some environment training.
She behaved so well and I am very glad that you guys where here this day with me! Hope your breeder made you proud! ;o)
Today (Monday) we took some new pictures of the girls with their ribbons and trophy. They look so proud! (Or maybe that is my reflexion I see! ;o) )

Thank you all for a great weekend around the ring! Thank you Tord from kennel African Hunters for the pictures you took and also to Jenny for your pictures and company at our second day in a row celebration ice-cream at Mc D's!

AND thank you to each and everyone of you who has congratulated me at the show, in my guestbook, FB, emails and phonecalls! You don't understand how much it means to me! I am so happy about the great atmosphere around the ring and my happiness get's even bigger thanks to all of you!
This has been an amazing summer for me and my dogs which I will never forget!

(For you who are wondering, Moa did not become Norweigan Champion this weekend. She needs one more "big" CAC or two more "small" CAC for that title since it's the same judge who gave her her Norweigan CAC earlier this summer as has given her two of her Swedish CAC. So we are working on that now!)

Leya and her dad Stefan practising stand?! ;o)
