ANOTHER FUN WALK!

This week I was lucky once more having some time during the day when the sun was shining. So I took the dogs for a walk in the neighbourhood and let them have some time to play when I tried to get some pictures of them.
Moa is so sweet and happy and just loves to play and jump around with sticks and things that she finds. Her heat started today so I am guessing she will soon get bit more "boring" so I am just enjoying the happy way she is now, before she comes into false pregancy. Not sure how she will get since this is her first heat since she has puppies and also since we have new little once as home at the moment.
Well, enjoy all the pictures!

SUNNY WINTER WALK!

Even though me and the dogs are quite stuck indoors now with the puppies still me so small, we do go for our little walks around the neighbourhood. And with some luck we will also get to see the sun once in a while! And this last happened a couple of days ago. So of course I decided to bring the camera along and get some new pictures of my lovely pack!
Wilson was spending the day with us aswell and he was just as happy about the little playtime walk! Some mixed photos from this walk can be seen below!

NORDIC WINNER SHOW DOGS4ALL!

On Saturday afternoon Yaya and I drove to Västerås to meet up with Lelle and his ridgeback PG (Rex Ventors Pegasus). We were together heading for the big show in Norway called Dogs4All this year also giving out the title Nordic Winner-10.
Judging our breed was mine and Yaya's favourite, Mr Åke Cronander from Sweden. I know since before that he has a soft spot for Yaya so because of this I decided to go to this show even though she was at the day 31 days pregnant.
So off we went in Lelle's bigger and safer car than mine trough the snowstorm towards the Norwegian border. We had rented a cottage on the Swedish side and we arrived in the evening quite tired after the pretty long drive. So a quite evening infront of the TV and then off to bed!
Early Sunday morning we continued our drive to Lilleström in Norway and the showground. We arrived in good time so we were able to find a nice little camping area in a quite corner and the dogs got to rest and I had plenty of time to start to get nervous...
First out was the males and PG and Lelle was placed nicely second in Openclass and later on also 2nd Best Male with R-CACIB! Huge congratulations to you! I know of course that you would have wanted the CAC and the title... but next time it is yours!
Best male was Shavano's Look Out for Loyd, congratulations!!

So after this time for the bitches. Our friends Josephine and Pixie (Jelanis Beautiful Butterfly) was 2nd in Intermediateclass with CQ! Good job girls!
So time for me and Yaya to enter the Openclass, of course the largest class of the day with I think 14 entries. I was very happy to be placed as winner of this great class of stunning dog and later on also picked out in Top 6 for Best Bitch.
Some running and Yaya and me running as number 1 and coming towards the judge he points at us as the winners! Wohooo! This gave my precious girl the Norwegian CAC making her Norwegian Champion, Nordic Champion and also Nordic Winner-10 with CACIB! All that I had wanted out of this trip!

Yaya's critique translated into english:
"64 cm. A star of the breed. Excellent mover."

Probably the shortest critique she has ever gotten, but when it is that nice I don't mind!

Time to meet the handsome male to compete for Best of Breed, some standing still looking good and then some running... And then he held up the ribbons and the Red and Yellow one he gave to me and Yaya! Best of Breed at Nordic Winner Show, not bad for my girl 31 days pregnant!
I was happy that the judge did not comment on this during his judging, I was so afraid before we went that he would place us badly because of it... But luckily no!

So after this we had about 4hrs to wait for the Groupfinals. Yaya got her picture taken for the Norwegian magazine Hundesport and then we just relaxed.
When we were gathered for the prewiev of the Group 4 and 6 that goes as one in Norway my heart sank... It was almost 30 breeds competing for 4 placements in this group... I just felt like did we wait all this time for not even having a chance?! I could have been half way home by now...
Oh well, I tried to wake Yaya up who look even more pregnant now and at least enjoy our minute in the spotlights in the BIG ring. We ran into the ring and she woke up showing herself very nicely and when we were picked out among Top 6 I was so thrilled! But I knew only 4 dogs would be placed so still feeling very very nervous!
When the judge stood by the number 3 spot I was very happy to hear Yaya's name being called out in the speakers! BIG-3 at Nordic Winner Show is a big deal! I have been told it is very rare in Norway that a ridgeback get's placed in the groupfinals so this was very exciting!

More than happy we started our long 7 hour drive back home to Stockholm, tired but oh so happy!

Thank you to Lelle for a great company, to Jossan for always being you and to Mona for great photos!

SHOWTIME!

Yesterday I went to Enköping for a puppyshow with Leo (Kadamo Bad Boy) and Nando (Kadamo You Know My Name) from the B-litter. It was 13 males in their class which is a huge entry for a puppyshow! This was Sara and Nandos third show and Jennie and Leos first. They both did very well in the ring, standing nicely, running well most of the time and acting very well with the judge.
Unfortunately no placement in the top today but we were still happy and saticfied with their performance!

Last weekend Gaya (Kadamo Too Hot to Handle) from the A-litter entered the International show in Växjö. Her and mum Anna did very well finishing as 2nd Best Intermediatebitch! Good job girl!

This past Saturday I also had MH tests again with three of the A-puppies, Buster (Kadamo As Good As It Gets), Charlie (Kadamo Don't Mess with Texas) and Shila (Kadamo A Dream Come True). They did just aswell as their two brothers did the weekend before and I am very happy to see how well their owners has taken care of them!
They are all so curious, playful and just easygoing dogs! I am extremely proud to be their breeder! The person who has described all 5 of them has said so many nice things about them! They have impressed him with their friendly personalities and cool and happy ways!

Below are some showpictures from this weekend!

WALK WITH RAMOZ AND DAYO!
After the mentalitytests for the boys on Saturday we went for a nice walk in the lovely sunny autumn day. The boys get along very nicely and enjoyed eachothers company! I think that shows such great temperament, two males 18 months old playing together with girls around aswell!
Some mixed pictures can be found below! Thank you Therese, Daniel, Lasse and Ingegerd for coming for the test this day! Both boys did so well and I am very happy and proud of their results! I hope you are too!

WALKING WITH KADAMO PUPPIES!

Today I had the honour to look after Atlas from the B-litter for a few hours during the day. We had a playdate with sister Enya and her bigbrother Zeus. The puppies got to play and we went around the fields near us and of course took plenty of pictures. Last weekend I also had a play date but that time with Karolin and Vidar from the A-litter. It was great to see them both again! Vidar is such a big teddybear!
I absolutely love seeing my pups and their owners! The best company ever! Some mixed photos from these two walks can be found below.

A NORMAL BUSY WEEK!

It has been yet another nice but busy week. I never have time to sit down and relax and enjoy the past weekends showresults... always things to do! But except for this week being busy at work I have squeezed in some nice things after work. On Thuesday me and Johanna visited Nando (Mr Blue) and his family. We had a very nice evening and him and Ms Red had a blast playing around!

On Thursday I had an evening with obediencetraining together with Renata and Jenny and on Saturday with Peter. It just hit me this week that Yaya and I have some obedience competitions coming up soon and we are not really ready for it.... So this week has been spend a lot on the dogclub practising! Yaya is great but can be to eager walking to much ahead of me (! I know... not the most common problem in obedience with a ridgeback so shouldn't be complaining..!) or just loosing her focus and not doing things as great as she can. Other than that she knows everything and what to do, so we will just have to wait and see if she can handle me and my bad nerves when it is time to compete!
I am trying to get Moa back to the level if not even higher than she was at our last obediencecompetition last year. She seems to remember everything and is still very hungry which means willing to work! So hopefully I can squeze in some competitions with her aswell this fall before the weather get's to bad and cold.
Dando is still training for the second class. I am the only thing holding him back... I have to decide if I want to compete or not... because Dando has all the qualitites necessary for it! I am also doing some tracking with him so will see if that could be something for us instead?! This is where my lack of energy and time comes in... So much to do so little time... :o(

Anyway, we have had some nice little walks with Ms Red aswell getting her socialized. This week she has gotten to meet cows and sheep and she seemed to enjoy them, especially the sheep!
She is such a sweet girl and it will be hard to let her go when I find her new home... But I don't have the time for a fourth dog right now so hopefully the right family will come along soon!

PUPPIES FIRST WEEK WITHOUT EACHOTHER!

This past week I have started to recieve some pictures of the puppies in their new homes. They all seem to be doing just fine! Little Lotus (Mr Yellow) has spend the week with me and I have truly loved having him! Such a sweet and wonderful dog!
He has gotten to explore new places and faces together with me and my dogs and has handled everything so well! Brave young boy!
Below are some mixed pictures. First from our walk with Johanna and Wilson on Monday, then from Lotus playtime with sister Enya and then some pictures from Enya, Meya, Nando and Troya! Enjoy!

SUMMERTIME MEANS SWIMMING!

I have been able to go swimming with the dogs a few times in the afternoons, either when they puppies been at home sleeping or watched by someone in the garden. Yaya absolutely loves it and it is such great exercise!
Dando swims now and then, for a very tasty stick or treats. Moa get's to cool down her legs in the water but not yet swim...

The other day I went with Ove and Zeus to their place in Edsviken for some swimming with Yaya, Dando and Wilson while Moa and the puppies got to enjoy Camillas company in the garden.
Zeus and Yaya is probably both as nuts just jumping in the water time after time! Enjoy the pictures below!
Thank you both Ove and Camilla for a nice evening!

SHOWING OFF ON THE WESTCOAST!!

Johanna and Wilson headed for the westcoast last Friday while I stayed at home with the rest of the pack. Their first stop was the dogshow in Borås were Wilson ended up as 3rd Best Male!
A good start of their holiday!

After a week spend enjoying Varberg and the surroudings it was time for the two day shows in Tvååker. I have shown there two years in a row and was sad not to be able to go this year.
2008 I showed Moa there and first day she was 3rd Best Bitch and the second day she made it all the way to Best of Breed! 2009 we had Moa, Wilson and Yaya with us and first day Wilson was Best of Opposite Sex and Yaya 2nd Best Bitch! The second day only Yaya was shown and she went all the way to Best of Breed and BIG-3!
So this year the pressure was on Johanna and Wilson to keep this very good tradition going!
And I have to say they did that very well!

Day one was an International show judged by Erna Britt Nordin, Sweden. Wilson won the Championclass and was also Best Male and BOS!

His critique:
"Fina proportioner. Fint huvud och uttryck. Bra nos och bett. Bra överlinje och kropp. Välställda ben. Rör sig med mycket bra sidosteg, slänger lite framifrån. Slät fin päls. Vacker färg, bra ridge."

The second day was a National Show judged by Kj Pedersen Erling, Denmark.
First out was Kadamo Don't mess with Texas "Charlie" with owner Olle. And they did well today being 2nd Best Intermediate male with Championquality! Congratulations Olle, well done!
Wilson did just aswell today winning the Championclass again and once more becoming Best Male and BOS!

His critique today:
"Bra huvud och uttryck. Fin ridge. Bra överlinje. Välvinklad. Utmärkt bröstkorg. Bra benstomme. Fina rörelser."

Congratulations Johanna! You and Wilson make a great team! And you are rocking the rings now! Without a doubt!

Also congratulations to Scilla from Ridgebows Kennel who was BOB both days!
