RR-RACE IN ÅKERSBERGA!

Last night me and Johanna took all the dogs to the Greyhound track in Åkersberga to try some racing! Our dad and our sister and niece also came to watch.
Moa was the second dog to run and she wasn't really sure about what was going on at first. She ran well but was a bit slower than I thought she would be.
She is not in the best shape after her false pregnancy but after watching a few more dogs she started to show her true side jumping up and down getting more anxious.
Her first heat she ran on 8,4 seconds and her second heat on 7,7 seconds, so a nice improvment.
Yaya was running for the first time ever. Wilson and Moa has both done lure coursing and they have an idea about what they are suppose to do. But since Yaya haven't been X-rayed until now this was her first attempt on any kind of running/racing. And she proved to be a natural talent! Again!
With her first heat she impressed me with 7,4 seconds and on her second heat she took the record with 7,2 seconds! Unfortunately one dog was even faster than this and Yaya ended up on a honourable 2nd place out of 16 dogs.
Wilson really got the hang of this being one of the wildest dogs there. He did very well for being a bigger male running his first heat on 7,8 seconds and his second heat on 7,6 seconds!

After this is was time for 6 dogs to run the whole lap which was about 550 m. Yaya did very well running on 50,0 seconds and Wilson on 50,3 seconds. (Moa did not get to run this since I don't think she is in the shape for it.) The winner who ran together with another dog ran on 48 seconds.

Thanks to Gittan who arranged this and for everyone who was there making it a very pleasent evening!

(Some mixed pictures below, not the best quality since it was so dark in the evening...)

PUPPY SHOW IN SOLLENTUNA!

Today I went to Sollentuna to cheer for Charlie who was entering the show there. Before the show I met up with Johanna for a walk and a photosession of Yaya and Wilson. Pictures from this coming soon!

At the show Charlie behaved like a pro winning Best of Breed and inthe afternoon he also got the Best in Show-4 placement amongst a lot of pretty puppies! Judging ridgebacks was Ray Lindholm.

His critique:
Lovande. Bra ridge och kronor. HP BIR

In Uppsala brothers Buster and Ramoz was shown and ended up as 2nd and 3rd best male puppy. Good job both of you!

A LITTLE UPDATE!

I haven't been updating the Blog lately with that many "everyday" pictures. So here are a little mix from the past few weeks.

I had Wilson with me on a walk a couple of weeks ago while Yaya was still in heat... I can say that he was kept busy the whole walk trying to impress Yaya. Unfortunately she wasn't impressed by him at all.
But she did find some cows that she really enjoyed the company of instead!
Yaya has this strange love for farm animals. She loves horses, sheep and cows. We have met a few sheep and everytime we met one that isn't afraid of the dogs she licks it. She is pretty much grooming it!
Looks adorable!

Last night I had some girlfriends over for a "moffaparty" which means we eat only unhealthy things and in as big amounts as possible! ;o)
The dogs loved the company but not the crowded couch... Moa found her own ways to deal with this...

On Thursday evening I had the last class in peopletracking. It has been a great class to teach! Great people, great dogs and a fun activity!
When we were all finished with our eight tracks one of the participants realized that she has lost her cellphone somewhere in the woods...
After about half an hour walking around in the darkness with the dogs as company and trackers we ended up at the last track of them all. By now is was black outside and we didn't even see the ground infront of us... And I am a living proof of that since I fell down to my waist into a deep hole... No damage done!
When we had pretty much given up we still decided to go just a little bit further and closer to the end of the last track JUST in chase... and guess what! There it was! Display and speaker of course facing the ground! I had been calling the phone the whole time we had been searching for it! That meant 45 missed calls!
But I am so glad we found the phone! Great ending of the class! The people got to do the tracking!

Mixed pictures below!

Wilson showing off his flight tecnique!

And he has lifted!

But yaya brought him back to earth...

Wilson is in love with Yaya, Yaya is not in love with Wilson...

Hm... Something has happend to Dando's ridge... It has fallen down on his side!

Moa looking out at the meadow

Wilson trying to use his tongue to fly with.... again...

Wilson the rabbit!

Yeah, definetely a rabbit!

Yaya on her way to check out the cows

I really really love cows!

And so does Yaya! I think she would like to live on a farm with different kind of animals because she loves them!

The dogs got a nice audience

The cows were really fascinated by the dogs playing

Girls night! Moa is trying to make a statement by sitting on the armrest...
Someone has stolen her favourite spot on the couch...

Now the dogs are happy! Moa has found a lap to sit in instead, Yaya is relaxed in one of the dogbeds,
Dando has a view over all the goodies and Indy and Fröja is playing underneath the table!

What can I say!? Princess Moa is now saticfied!

Dando got a bit tired late in the evening while we were playing games...

RAMOZ AND CHANELS FIRST PUPPYSHOW!

On Saturday I went to Ulriksdal Slott to keep my two puppies company who was making their showdebut at the SRRS Speciality Show.
First out was Ramoz and mum Theresé. They did a great job and finished at 3rd place! After them Chanel and her mum Hélène entered the ring also doing well and they finished nicely on 3rd place too.
I am so proud of you both and I look forward to seeing you in rings even more in the future!
Leya was also their with her mum Carin and dad Stefan to cheer on her siblings. Always great to see you!
I am very glad that you take the time to go to shows and practise her to be in the environment, she will do just great when it is time for her debute aswell!

The puppies mum Fendi did a great comeback in the showring this day finishing nicely as Best Bitch, BOS and with that her 2nd CAC, only one more to go for the Swedish Championtitle! Congratulations!

INTERNATIONAL SHOW IN NORRKÖPING!

On Saturday morning I took all the dogs and picked up Johanna and Wilson and drove to Norrköping. We were entering the International Show judged by Eli-Marie Klepp, Noway. Johanna was today going to show Wilson by herself for the first time. They have been practising and done well so it was time they got out there themselves, of course with me cheering on from ringside.
Wilson and Johanna did a great job being the only dog in the class recieving a 1st prize and that also with CQ winning the class. Good job!

His critque:
"Maskulin vacker hanhund med goda proportioner. Tilltalande huvud och uttryck. Utmärkt crest of neck. Väl anlagd skuldra, gott utfylld för åldern. Stark överlinje, breda muskulösa lår. Utmärkta ben och fötter, god knävinkel. Korrekt ridge. Något ostabil i front, långt driv från sidan."

In the Championclass my dear friend Liselott won with her male Wesley! Wohooo! So time for Best male, unfortunately no placement for Wilson but Wesley went all the way to Best male with CACIB! HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to you!!! You so deserved this great placement!

After this it was time for Yaya to make her debute in Intermediate class and she also did great by winning the class with CQ.

Her critique:
"15 månader, mycket harmonisk och vackert byggd tik. Härligt feminint huvud med rätt uttryck. Utmärkta öron. Elegant hals med god crest. Flotta proportioner all over. Härlig benstomme och fötter. Rör sig något trångt bak, utmärkt driv från sidan."

So time for Moa to enter Championclass for the second time. She did good ending up as 3rd Best Championbitch out of 6.

Her critque:
"Vacker modell, mycket goda proportioner all over. Kraftfullt men feminint huvud. Utmärkt crest (?) of neck. Omåttligt välkroppad, vacker färg. Rör sig mycket bra från alla håll. Utmärkt visad."

So, time for Best bitch, Johanna got to jump in and show Moa and I showed Yaya. Both girls was picked out for Top 5 and Yaya ended up 3rd Best bitch and Moa Reserv/5th Best Bitch!
I am so proud of my two girls giving all the other good looking dogs a fight!

Now my girls will rest from the Swedish showscene for a while which feels good after a very busy summer. We are taking some longer trips instead with Moa so I hope to get some nice results with her abroad aswell this year!

After the show we stopped on the way home in Kungens kurva for a walk in my old woods. The dogs really enjoyed it and got to swim in the lake. All dogs but Dando was swimming... He prefers to just have drink and then just observe the others...
After that it was time to go home for a nice pizza and a lazy evening on the couch! And guess what... I had a sleep in today! No show to go to! Just a quite day at home with the dogs! Well, maybe not at home since I have arrends I should do, take the dogs to the woods... and so on on...
But still, it's a day off!

THIS IS HOW WE KEEP OURSELVES BUSY!

My goal is to always give my dogs an active and happy life. Sometimes I am more "focused" and practice a lot more with them then other periods of time.
Sometimes I am more busy with for example teaching dogclasses or tired from work and my energy might be lacking. But even then when I am not training them for a particarly goal I still want them to get to do different things to keep them happy and saticfied both in body and mind.
So here are some mixed pictures from the last week of our "every day life".

We have been on several nice walks in the woods eating plenty of blueberries, we have been playing at the agility field, we have been doing some obedience, the dogs has gotten to swim and of course one of their favourites activities, searching for treats!

Tomorrow morning I am driving with the girls to Askersund for two days of showing. We will get the pleasure to spend the weekend with Sandra, Jocke, Bosco and Enzo which I am looking forward to. We will also visit the A-puppies cousins at kennel Zaxxons who is now about 6 weeks old.
Check out the darlings HERE. (Some of them are still looking for the perfect home... Might it be with you?)

Moa is a great swimmer but doesn't really enjoy the pool... But for her and her
"false pregnancy"-tits it's great practice!

she was all saticfied and hardly wanted to get out of the water!

SHOWTRAINING AND WILD MEETINGS!

For the past few weeks I have been holding ring/show lessons for a bunch of dogs and their owners. It has been a lot of fun to see them all develop. So after requests I will give two more lessons in August. (See more on the startpage or under Ringträning.)
After Wednesdays practice I recieved a lot of photos of some of the dogs taken by Marcus so below are a mix of pictures of my "students".

Some of my puppies has also been away meeting some strange animals this summer... Ramoz has been to Furuvik Zoo and met some camels and weird birds... (See more of him at his own homepage HERE) and Jenna has met some wildboars! (Check out her own homepage HERE.)
See the pictures below!

MORE SUCCESSES FOR THE KADAMO TEAM!

We have had another great weekend in great company with great results! It all started early Saturday morning. And when I write early I really mean it! My alarm went off at 2.45 am and before 4 am me, Johanna, Wilson, Yaya and Moa were on our way to Ransäter in Värmland.
We got there and the weather was nice and Wilson was first out in the ring in intermediate class. Unfortunately he wasn't to keen on getting his balls squashed today so he didn't get a CQ. The judge today was Per Iversen from Norway and he only gave out 3 CQ for the males, the Top 2 Champions and the winner of the Openclass.
Next out was Moa in the largest class today, the Openclass with 12 bitches. She won it with CQ and became 3rd Best Bitch with her 2nd Swedish CAC!
Right before her was her Mum Ch. Rex Ventors Isola! The lovely weather had unfortunately by now changed into heavy rain so we left the showground as soon as we could.

We drove for a few more hours to Sollebrunn were we made a stop for some fieldtracking. Yaya and Wilson each got to do an openclass track and they both did very well gaining a 1st prize.

After this we got back into the car again for our last hour in the car and we arrived in Alafors after 6 pm. After some chilling in Tina's garden we left for where we were going to have dinner and stay the night.
Patricia who had arranged this with her lovely friends Jocke and Nina (Jamaajadi Kennel, my new adoptive parents... ;o) ) had said that we were going to borrow their cottage. I imagine something with hardly running water or toilet and so when we arrived at this lovely house I was so happy!
No running water had been ok too but this was just lovely! A small little house so nicely decorated and a great location with woods and fields around it!
The BBQ was already started and after walking the dogs to a field we all sat down for a lovely dinner! THANK you Nina and Jocke so extremely much for everything this weekend! You are both just amazing people!

After some hours of sleep in the comfortable bed I was ready for another show! So we drove to the big BISS-09 Speciality Show in Tjolöholmsslott about an hour away.
Yaya was first out in juniorclass with an entry of 15! She did well and was placed as Reserv/5th Best junior with Honours Prize.
Next out was Moa in Workingclass with an entry of 7. She did really well winning the class with Championquality! (So far Moa has won the workingclass at every show she has entered! I am so pleased with that!)
The Best Bitch class was huge! More than 20 bitches had been awarded Championquality so I was just happy to be one of them!
The judge made his first cut picking out his Top 10 and amazingly me and Moa was one of them! We were finally placed as number 8th! Out of 80 bitches at a Speciality Show that is a result that I am more than pleased with! And she was only 2 dogs away from the CAC aswell, which isn't bad either!

After this it was time for the big final! BISS-09 is SUCH Evergraces Matrix Trinity "Zanta" and BOS SUCH SV-09 KoDust RV Touch O Chilli "Kean". Big congratulations to both of you!

Moa also got to enter the ring again to compete for the title Best Workingridgeback 2009 against Saturdays winning male NUCH Lp1 Lp2 Kuzonga's Cheriff. Moa manage to win this and the prize that follows the winner of this title for one year.

So for us it was another good weekend on the road with several nice people to keep us company! Now we will rest for one weekend before heading off again!

Mixed pictures from the shows below!

FARMANIMALS!

The other day I met up with Johanna at a farm near us. We went for a walk there and also took the opportunity to let the dogs meet some of the animals living there. Always a good way to socialize your dog!
Yaya very much like the little horse we met and she fell in love with the sheep! She was licking one of the sheep on it's head several times and it just stood there looking like it enjoyed being groomed! So cute!

On Wednesday I had another one of my showtrainings and I just want to say that I am so happy for the once of my puppies who attends this! You are all doing so well, better each week! Soon we might even get your wild once to trott! (trava) ;o)
No, seriously, I am very happy to see all of my puppybyers being active with your dogs, taking them to different places, attending my puppyclass and showtraining and always keeping me updated with emails and pictures! You are the best!
I am looking forward to seeing most of you again when puppyclass begins in a couple of weeks! And me and the girls are also preparing for our trip to Finland within a month to see Myy (Ms Darkpink) and her mum Elina and also seeing Yaya's breeder Anne with sibling and relatives to Yaya! I can't wait!

But this week we are staying in Sweden. On Saturday we will show Wilson and Moa at the International Dogshow in Ransäter and on Sunday we will show Moa and Yaya at the Swedish RR-Speciality Show outside Gothenburg! So we do have some miles to spend in the car this weekend...
See you there?!

Yaya giving the horse a kiss, Moa has stopped being interested and Dando thinks this is boring...

Yaya really liked the horse and the horse her! (Moa still thinks we can keep walking...)

DOGSWIMMING!

This weekend meant work for me both Saturday and Sunday. After work on Saturday I headed towards Bro and met up with my friends Annso (and her stafforshire bullterrier Fröja) and Sara (and her miniature bullterrier) Tindra.
We went out in the woods to Mälaren to let the dogs swim and cool off. They all loved it! Even Dando decided to go into the water when he realized that the people who where there with their boats likes dogs and especially ridgebacks and had dogtreat in their boat!

After a nice afternoon there we went back to Annso's place and had a nice "girls" evening with pizza and the mandatory girltalk!

On Sunday I was working aswell as doing laundry... I can't believe how much laundry I can pile up! Carpets, dogblankets, couchcovers and my clothes... I live my life around the philosophy that why go twice when you can go once? This means I always carry more things than my arms can handle almost dying on the way.(Like the groceries from the car and so on... But I still believe I save time by halfcrawling once instead of walking twice...
So on Sunday this meant me carrying three huge bags of laundry, a 5 kilo bag of washingpowder, some carpets and a sleepingbag all at once to the laundry room...
My shoulders and neck has been killing me today... I probably wrecked something... But who cares?! I probably saved about 7 seconds...

Pictures from Saturday below!

Moa waiting for the stick to be trown into the water

Weiii.. here she comes!

Watch out for Moa!

Dando and Yaya keeping busy looking for leftoves at the beach...

But this fine boat she found was even better!

Or why not rest on the engine of one of the boats! As long as she could stay in the water she was happy!
